Double room in 5-bed Edwardian semi-detached house

Kitchen

One large double room available for rent - furnished and move-in ready. Garden-facing with two windows. The bed is US queen sized, which is just a tiny bit smaller than a UK king sized bed (basically the bed is massive). I currently live here with a housemate, who occupies another room in the house - occasionally visited by family. My parents have owned the house for over twenty years now but currently live in Oman.

The house was recently refurbished in 2016 so bathrooms / kitchens etc. are all brand new. We have a decently sized garden round the back - any gardening (or lawnmowing...?) enthusiasts are most welcome to practise their magic on it. There’s a large apple tree in the garden too so keen bakers / jam-makers also very welcome to make good use of the fruit. We have a small deck patio with chairs and a sunshade for relaxing in the summer months, as well as a shiny new American-style gas barbecue, brought over from Texas.

There’ll be 2.5 bathrooms between 3 people, so no mad rush in the mornings.

I leave at 8am for work and get home anywhere between 8pm and 3/4am so I usually don't come back in time for dinner. Hopefully looking to find someone with a similar schedule although this is less important.

Bills are included in the monthly rent and covers:

Housekeeping for common areas (scheduled once every two weeks)
Cleaning products etc. (bleach, cleaning spray - basically anything the housekeeper uses)

Green spaces
- the house is a short bus-ride, or 35-min walk away from Kew Gardens. 20-min bus to Richmond Park. 15-min walk to Gunnersbury Park. 12-min walk to Boston Manor Park. Many other small parks and gardens in the area, within walking distance.

Shopping
- Ealing Broadway is a 25 minute walk away, or a 13-minute bus. From Ealing Broadway it’s 9 mins to Paddington.
- There's a Tesco Extra 20 minutes away on the bus (or 5 minutes in the car / 30 minutes on foot) but also a convenience store a 6 minute walk away. There's also a Sainsbury's Local as you come out of Northfields station, which is an 8-12 min walk away from home
Transport
- Getting the Piccadilly Line is an 8-12 min walk to Northfields Station, or 12-14 minutes to South Ealing station
- Northfields is 22 minutes to South Kensington, 19 minutes to Earl's Court, 14 minutes to Hammersmith and 30 minutes to Piccadilly Circus
- There is a bus stop 2 minutes out the door, where you can catch the E2 to Northfields station in 5 minutes, or down to Brentford station
- Brentford rail station allows you to get to Waterloo 4 times an hour (13 minute walk away). Brentford - Waterloo is 32 minutes
- Ealing Broadway is on the Central Line and 13 minutes away by bus (or half an hour walk). From here you can also take rail services out to Reading / Maidenhead etc., as well as a direct line into Paddington

- GlaxoSmithKline's HQ is a 14-minute walk away
- Sky's head office is a 7-minute drive
- Heathrow airport is 16 minutes in the car (and 33 minutes from home if you take the tube)

Food & drink
- Santa Maria's original restaurant (they've now opened in Fulham too), is famously the 'best' pizza in London (Google it) and only a 20-minute walk away
- Nice pubs in the area include Ealing Park Tavern, only a 7 min walk away at the end of the road and The Plough, also 7 minutes away in the other direction
