Spare Room in Our Hackney Home!
Hey! We’re looking for someone to come and join our home!

We’re ideally looking for someone chill, friendly, and considerate who enjoys the occasional shared dinner, film night, or just hanging out in the kitchen chatting while cooking. Equally though, we really respect and enjoy quiet time and doing our own thing after work.

The flat:
The place itself is super spacious and modern with a dishwasher. In the kitchen we're fully furnished with an air fryer, food processor and hand blender if you're into your cooking. The spare room has its own en suite.

There’s also underfloor heating throughout the flat which is honestly a dream in winter — it makes everything feel extra cosy. We’ve got a lovely outdoor patio too, and a big walk-in cupboard which is amazing for coats, bags, and general life clutter.

Everything is fully furnished and we’ve made it feel really homely.
We’re a couple of minutes’ walk from Hackney Downs Park, which is one of our favourite things about living here — great for walks, runs, or just sitting in the sun when it appears. We’re also about 10 minutes from both Hackney Downs railway station and Hackney Central railway station, plus loads of buses right outside which makes getting anywhere super easy.
The neighbours are genuinely lovely too, which adds to the whole feeling of it being a calm, friendly building.

Us:
We’re a chilled couple in our early 30s and we really value the flat as a relaxed and cosy space from day to day - we do love an early night.
We each have our own room (one room is set up as a studio/study space), so the flat feels really open and spacious.
We like having people over now and then — film nights, dinners, that kind of thing — but we really do appreciate having a quiet place to come back to and chill in the week.

Fran – Costume designer. Loves walks, museums, yoga, pub catch-ups, arts & crafts, and a bit of rock & roll and disco!!!

Jamie – Firefighter and philosophy/history/politics student. Into cycling, films, music, skateboarding, running, and reading.

We’re really hoping to find someone who feels like a natural fit — someone who wants to feel at home here, not just rent a room. A friendly, grounded person who’s up for hanging out together but also totally respects personal space.
