Hi, all! My partner and I are looking for another person to fill the 2nd bedroom in our gorgeous 2 bed/1 bath apartment on a quiet street near Regent's canal. Our current flatmates are moving out in January 2021 because they bought their own place, so ideally our new housemate(s) will also have a January move in date. As anyone who house-shares knows, housemates make or break a house... We are looking for a long let with the right person/couple that will make this space a peace-loving, tidy, respectful sanctuary that we all enjoy being and entertaining in.
* About us: Professional, queer couple of 4+ years in our mid-late 20s. She is Spanish and I'm from the USA, both living and working in London for the foreseeable future. We individually or separately enjoy cooking, entertaining friends for dinner, exploring historic places, going out into nature on our bicycles, arts & crafts, and lots of sports (life before COVID...). We work day jobs, so we are usually in bed by 11pm at the latest on weekdays (one of us also regularly works weekends).
* About the place: Must be vegan friendly; preferably vegan yourself. Both bedrooms face the canal with a long shared balcony. It is a 20-minute walk to the Thames through Limehouse to the south, or a 20-minute walk to Victoria Park to the North. Mile End station (Central, Hammersmith & City, and District lines) is less than a 10-minute walk. We have an open plan kitchen with lots of counter space connected to our large living room with floor to ceiling windows, leading out to the connected balcony facing a quiet area of Regent's canal. The room is available furnished with a bed and shelving; there is a built in closet with hanging area and more shelving. A large shared hallway closet offers additional storage space. There is a rooftop garden space with panoramic views of the city and Canary Wharf. Great air quality for this central of an area thanks to being situated directly between Mile End park and the canal. The slightly smaller room (the one on offer) is ~£200.00 pw (£850 pm). Our room has a bigger closet so we pay slightly more.
* Bills (council taxes, electric, water, wifi): Around £200 pm for the whole flat, i. e. £50ish/month for four people(2 couples) or £65ish/month for three people.
* Viewings: We want to meet you first and establish if we would make a good match. This could then be followed by a video-tour (COVID precautions), which if it goes well, we could arrange a safe time for you to visit.
This is a must see property; it has been a dream living here for the past 2+ years. We love it and want to continue making it a loving home!
