Flatmate Wanted – Camden

We are looking for a flatmate as a friend is moving out to relocate to Prague.

About the house

The apartment is on the 4th floor, and we are the only flat on this level, so it almost feels like having a private landing.
The main living space is a modern open-plan kitchen and living room, with windows on two sides which makes it very bright and airy. The kitchen connects naturally with the rest of the space, so cooking tends to feel quite communal.
The main feature of the flat is the private terrace, which is about as large as the living room itself and overlooks London to the south. It’s a really nice place for morning coffee or evening drinks, and something we’ve slowly been turning into a small garden space (tomatoes currently in progress).
The flat itself is a three-bedroom apartment, with one en-suite and one shared bathroom, and wood laminate floors throughout.

About the room

It’s a double room (5 × 3 m) overlooking Camden High Street. It has one window and, like the rest of the flat, gets plenty of natural light.

About the flatmates

You would be joining Içvara and Alex, both postdocs at Imperial College working in the life sciences. We’re easy going and share an interest in slowly cultivating the terrace.
Alex goes climbing a couple of times a week at a nearby climbing gym (usually mornings) and occasionally experiments with other hobbies like dance, kickboxing, or something artistic.
Içvara gets up to many things: growing tomatoes on the terrace, life simulation and game design, karate, and community science engagement.
We occasionally cook together, share tea, and every now and then have friends over for drinks or a BBQ on the terrace.

Details

The tenancy will be under Prime Homes UK LTD.
Rent: £4000 per month total (£1333 each)
Bills: normally around £130/month (including council tax)
The kitchen has gas hobs.
The flat is above Camden High Street, so it’s not the quietest location. It’s lively and convenient, but worth mentioning if you’re sensitive to noise.
