Large double room in spacious house great for WFH!

Hello future housemates!

We know that it's an odd time right now. Safety and our health are important to us, as I'm sure they are to you too. If you would prefer not to come to the house in person right now, we would be happy to organise a virtual tour...

Also, we should just mention straight up that our house is amazing for working from home! We have 2 sitting rooms, and a patio in the garden, so plenty of choice where you can work!! Plus the room is large, so there's room for a desk in there if you would rather.

Our wifi is great and copes with everyone streaming at the same time, so no worries about your Zoom calls!

Our house is a beautiful period property with a garden. Located on a quiet no-through road in a very safe area which is fine to walk around if you are coming home late at night. It is a 5 min walk from all the independent shops and restaurants on Muswell Hill Broadway.

The room is available to move in from 12th July.

The house

Our house has wood floors and features galore. It has a large sitting room with plenty of light, a separate dinning room with double doors out onto the patio, a well-fitted kitchen with large American fridge freezer, microwave, dish washer and washing machine. It also has the perfect sized garden and patio for BBQs on a summer evening.

It's is on a no-through road in a very peaceful area. Perfect if you prefer to get woken up to bird song rather then traffic! It's our little peaceful haven in London. :)

We have a sofa bed in the living room if you have friends or family coming to stay over night.

We also have super fast fiber optic broadband with Virgin, (100M download speed), so all your streaming needs will be met!

The room

The room is a large double room with ample room for a desk. It also has a lot (I mean a lot!) of cupboard space!

The room is at the front of the house and gets the sun in the mornings.

Our current house mate will be taking the bed and desk. Our inventory includes a bed and mattress so we can ask the landlord to provide if you do not have these already.

Bills are currently £125 per month, which includes everything including super fast broadband.

Transport

The short version:
- 10 min bus to Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly) which gets you into Kings Cross in 10 mins
- 5 min walk + 5 min bus to Highgate (Northern)
- 15 min bus to Finsbury Park (Victoria)
- 7 min bus to Alexandra Palace (Overground) which gets into Moorgate in 20 mins
- Zone 3

The longer (extra info!) version:
The trains from Alexandra Palace Station also stop at Finsbury Park and Highbury and Islington on the way to Morgate. If it's a nice morning you might prefer to walk to the stations - it's a 15 min walk through the wonderfully green Alexandra Palace Park. You'll even get views of the entire city on the way!

You can also walk to Highgate Station in about 15 mins through the woods. A great way to start your day in a relaxed state of mind!

Parks, shopping, going out and staying in!

Worried about getting your lockdown exercise? We are spoilt for choice when it comes to parks, with Alexandra Palace just across the road, and Highgate Wood and Queens Wood less than a 10 min walk. There's also the old railway line that's great for jogging which takes you all the way to Finsbury Park.

The house has plenty of shared space so even with everyone WFH it's not an issue. We have a spacious living room and a separate piano room. We also have a nice garden with a good sized patio for those meeting free WFH days ;)

Not so relevant right now I know, but we have some great shops and restaurants near us. Muswell Hill is 5 min walk and crouch end is 15 min walk, both of which have a great selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. On Muswell Hill Broadway there is a small Waitrose, a larger Sainsburys, an Everyman Cinema and 3(!) health shops including Planet Organic. We also have a Bills restaurant and a number of independent cafes and restaurants.

Parking

Parking is available in the street and it's never too busy. It's free as well!

Us
-------
As for your future housemates, well we are both very nice (OK we're probably biased!) Gel and Dan are both in IT and Kim is studying. We have our own busy lives but at the end of the day sometimes it's nice to crack open a bottle of wine and relax together. We like to live in a house where people are respectful of each other and their property but also somewhere where you can feel at home.
