Big double bedroom in brand new development

I have recently moved into a brand new, spacious 2 bed apartment along Wandsworth Road. The complex is right on top of the huge flagship Sainsbury's and is about a 7 minute walk away from Vauxhall tube / train station (Zone 1). If you fancy it on foot, the West End of London (Soho, where I work for example) is about a 45 minute walk from the flat. Nine Elms tube station (northern line) is due to open next door (!!) in September 2021.

My flatmate is heading back home to leafy Surrey to finish his PhD, so I'm on the hunt for someone new to share the flat with.

I'm fortunate enough to be back in the office part-time from April, but there's plenty of room in the bedrooms and living space for home working if you need it. There's a desk in both bedrooms, and another in the living room for a bit of variety.

The flat is on the fourth floor, which acts as the ground floor of the development, with an internal gardens above the Sainsbury's. It is super secure, with residents only key fob access to the flats and the internal facilities / gardens. There are several entrances, with the main entrance hosting a 24 hour concierge, who will receive parcels and direct guests (and deliveroo drivers) to the flat. There is also very secure cycle parking.

The spare room is large and spacious and gets a great amount of sunlight coming through the huge window. There are 2 bathrooms in the flat; an ensuite connected to my bedroom and a huge family bathroom which would effectively be yours (and any guests, of course!).

There is an open plan kitchen / living room area with a dining table and corner sofa. All of the kitchen appliances are brand new, with toaster, kitchen aid and all. The living room door opens up onto a very spacious terrace overlooking the internal gardens.

You will also have access to some amazing facilities - there is a gym on site, which will be back operating soon (they opened as soon as they could every time we unlocked) and a residents only lounge. You will also have the option of booking the residents dining room / kitchen area on site which can easily host 12+ people and lastly there is an incredible cinema room. All of the facilities are included in the rent, but the gym (only at the moment), dining room and cinema need to be booked in advance through an online portal.

There are some great bars, pubs and restaurants around (the Alchemist has recently opened at Embassy Gardens), with Battersea Park (and lots of other smaller parks) within walking distance. Central London is less than 15 minutes away, with Green Park / Oxford Circus only a few stops along the Victoria Line and Euston / Kings Cross within 20 minutes. The Oval Cricket Ground is only a 10 minute walk away if you like beers and cricket in the summer sun.

Bills would be around £150 a month, including council tax, water, heating, electricity, BT TV, Sky on Demand and broadband. The service charges for the gym, etc. are included in the rent.

About me...

I'm James, and as with most people on here I am a young professional working in London. After a great 4 years at Uni of Manchester, I have been living in London for about 8 years. I work as a planning consultant in Soho, which means I am often hanging around that end of town.

I tend to be relatively active, trying to run to and from work a few nights a week - or fitting a class (remember those?) in before work. I try and catch up with mates during the week, but equally enjoy a chilled night to try and catch up on sleep before the weekend.

I'm pretty sociable so would prefer someone similar - with the aim of having a fun and enjoyable place to live in.
