A brilliant location!

ABOUT:
This split-level flat is upstairs (1st floor) in Victorian terraced house & on a pretty quiet street that is just off the main Queens Road.

Gas Central Heating and reliable & fast internet connection. A great space to live in a very popular South London, Zone 2 area - a location that’s close to everything useful and where you can call ‘Home’.

You’ll like it here especially if sharing a whole clean & pleasant flat with just one other sociable person is preferred, rather than sharing with lots of people.

I’m a Performing Artist & Applied Theatre Professional who has expansive interests in a plethora of creative & cultural happenings. I’ve had brilliant flat-sharing experiences.

The Double bedroom is going to be available soon, and i wish to share this space with a genuinely pleasant, reliable & lovely Professional or mature Student. Someone who is willing and happy to look after their spaces & shared areas. Someone who can communicate well and keep a happy vibe at home. Someone who is mature, who can bring their unique style for their space & who’ll happily be proactive in keeping the flat clean, ventilated, smelling good & welcoming.

ABOUT THE DOUBLE ROOM
It is a good size, has double glazed sash-windows, blackout blinds as it’s sunny in the mornings. Lovely natural wooden flooring. Double Futon (Japanese style). Good Storage.

You’d be Sharing the kitchen-diner & bathroom/WC with only one other very clean & tidy person.
The flat’s design is with private Rooms on the upper-part of a split level flat. There are 4 steps down to the back of the flat where there’s the kitchen-diner & leading to the Bathroom & WC.

YOUR ROOM
It’s overlooking back garden (neighbours). It’s a private room with a lovely peaceful vibe - where you can relax, feel safe and just rest your head; or hangout (‘me time’) or work... whatever you prefer. This is a furnished room (see photos) with plenty of storage options, including 2 new chest of draws, a double height/ double level professional theatre type industrial clothing rail, which fits tonnes of your hangable fashion (it’s moveable).

The way the flat is set out, it’s got the feel of a ‘studio flat’ but you’re just sharing the 2 areas - kitchen diner & bathroom/wc. There is a friendly, sociable vibe and we can share a cup of coffee/tea/wine etc... over chats. A combination of being in a cool & calm environment in a well presented, clean & tidy flat.

BATHROOM / KITCHEN DINER
You’ll share a well-equipped kitchen-diner and Bathroom with w/c, (a bath tub & shower unit over it) & vanity unit with your personal draw. You’ll share with one other person. The bathroom area also has a couple of large wall and door mounted mirrors, so it makes for a great dressing room.

TRANSPORT
The nearest British Rail & Overground Line station is ‘Queens Road Peckham’. From home, it’s literally a fast 1 minute walk (yet amazingly you cannot hear any trains at all).

NEAREST SHOPS
The nearest local shops are a Tesco Local, a Sainsbury’s Local, Lidl & Morrisons - plus a good choice of other independently owned shops & restaurants /take aways, bars. Food-wise, there’s huge local choice from wonderful variety of worldwide nationality’s menus; suitable to all price ranges - from Michelin Star to Caribbean, Chinese, Italian Restaurants... Most are just a minute or two walk from home across Queens Road.

THIS AREA & NEARBY
This location is officially called ‘Nunhead & Peckham Rye’. The house’s location is very handy with easy access to quite a lot of local places of cultural interest nearby. It’s a short walk to Old Kent Road in one direction; also right on the boarders of New Cross and Deptford (Goldsmiths University) being a good 15min walk. Nunhead, Dulwich, Peckham Rye & Camberwell (near to UAL) are all nearby too, in the other direction.

As you can imagine, there are lots of choices for PARKS & Green Spaces (from Cossal Park, around the corner. The Kirkwood Nature Reserve is a few minutes walk. Also there’s Telegraph Hill, Peckham Rye Park & Common, Burgess Park etc). Overall a very interesting and fabulous location.

ZONE 2
You’ll have the quickest travel times from and to Central London, London Bridge, Tower Bridge, Waterloo (for Southbank), Victoria & the whole City. I’ve done door to door: 10mins to London Bridge & 18mins to Charing Cross!

There’s a gentle creative buzz in this whole neighbourhood, and along this short street. It’s been voted ‘Best Place to live’ (Time Out) for that reason, so I’d say it suits the creative types. This is a part of London where you can say ‘Hi’ as you pass by & it’s friendly as you get in London.

WHO IT MAY SUIT?
A genuinely positive energy person. Someone who is open-minded, who’ll care for & help maintain where they live and keep the atmosphere light & cheerful.

It’s a very lovely place to live and a creative space to relax in, with a Homey feeling. So it’ll suit someone Professional / Creative / University student. A female is preferred. I encourage Genuine, Trustworthy & reliable, considerate people only. LGBTQI Friendly. Veggie/Pescatarian...
