I have a large double room in a lovely Victorian house to let to a professional female. The room is on the ground floor, with high ceilings and plenty of storage. There is a lovely glass fronted bookcase, plus a wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Being on the ground floor, it has easy access to the lounge, kitchen and a downstairs loo. Upstairs is a lovely family bathroom with a shower and separate bath and a private drawer for lodger's personal storage. The tenant who takes this room will share this bathroom with 2 people. I also provide lodgers with a cupboard in the kitchen and space in the fridge and a drawer in the freezer.
I am an artist and adult education art tutor and I live in the house, alongside my daughter., who is currently finishing University. We have one other full time lodger, who lets a room at the top of the house, which has its own bathroom.
We don't have a telly, but we do of course have Broadband. We have enjoyed making lodgers feel welcome over the years but lead busy lives ourselves and appreciate that lodgers may want their privacy too.
Nunhead Rail has quick connections to Victoria and also Blackfriars, the City and St. Pancras. Brockley and Honor Oak Stations are also close by, within walking distance.
Our house backs onto a wonderful nature reserve, aka Nunhead Cemetery, where woodland walks can be had. The huge Peckham Rye Park is also very close and all the fun shops of Nunhead, trendy Peckham and East Dulwich are easy to get to and fun to explore.
