One of our housemates is moving out so we have a bright, spacious double room available in our 4-bedroom duplex apartment in a Victorian terraced house.
The flat is located on a lovely, quiet, residential street, a short walk from Oval (5 mins), Vauxhall (10 mins) and Stockwell (11 mins) tube stations.
We are looking for someone to move in swiftly after viewing, pending references and a deposit payment of £862.
THE FLAT
The flat is managed by Avrasons (we have had a great experience with them) and are conveniently based a 5 minute walk away.
The flat’s facilities include:
- Spacious high-ceiling living room/dining room furnished with 2 sofas, a TV, a dining table that seats 6 and room for bike storage.
- Two bathrooms between 4 of us (both with showers)
- South-facing balcony (with room for barbecue and great for tanning)
- A washing machine and tumble dryer
- Full sized dishwasher
THE ROOM
The room comes furnished with:
- Wooden-framed double bed (with space for storage underneath)
- Fitted floor-to-ceiling double wardrobe (very spacious)
- Chest of drawers
- Bedside cabinet
- High ceiling
THE AREA
- Lots of green space within walking distance, including Vauxhall park, Kennington park and Vauxhall pleasure gardens. Also great location for walks/runs along the river Thames.
- Spoilt for choice with supermarkets, there is a Tesco, Lidl and huge Sainsbury’s all within a 10 minute walk
- Lovely pubs close by including our local The Fentiman Arms, just around the corner.
THE HOUSEMATES
Some of us have lived here for 3 years with new arrivals warmly welcomed. We are all young professionals, working Monday to Friday, who enjoy movie nights in (preferably with a curry) as well as heading out for a friendly drink.
Our houses’ current workforce is made up of fashion, psychology and political news analysis. We’re looking for someone who is sociable but also respectful of space. We’re a tidy house and all pull our weight with cleaning and buying house supplies.
Stuff we like to do near our house:
The Fentiman Arms, Oval Farmer's Market, Cable Cafe, Newport Gallery, Bonnington Cafe, walks/runs around Battersea Park, Pop Brixton, The Ritzy...
Given the current situation, we currently have a home working set-up in the living room so homeworkers welcome.
THE BORING STUFF
The rent is £671 per calendar month plus bills. We pay for our power and electricity bill quarterly, and pay for water (£9.70), council tax (£37), and internet (£11) monthly.
The deposit is £862 which is fully protected under the government deposit protection scheme.
You will be joining a contract that runs until March 2021 with a 6 month break clause.
The room will be available to move from now onwards to start a contract ideally in September or October.
THE NEW HOUSEMATE
We are looking for someone to join our urban family! We usually all have a full social life but make time for socialising together, especially during lockdown. We like to keep a fairly clean house and are looking for someone similar to us.
Drop us a message and we can arrange something!
Looking forward to hearing from you! :)
