Bright, spacious double in quirky old school

We have lived in our home in a unique old school building in Palmers Green (N13) for just over 8 years now and are looking for a new housemate!

Earlier move in date negotiable.

* £760 Rent/Bills PCM

Rent inclusive of all bills - electric, water, council tax, TV licence and internet.

We have a large double room, mostly unfurnished that has just been repainted and cleaned ready for a new occupant.

We have been taking our time as we really want to find the right person as we believe it’s important to get along well when living together.

A person of similar age would be preferred but younger would be considered if mature.
Similar interests would be nice but aren’t essential.

Palmers Green is a nice, relaxed residential area. Green and leafy with some lovely parks and most things you need close to hand.
Close enough to Central London (around 20/25 minutes on the train) but further enough out that when the busy pace/people get too much you can enjoy some peace.

Good transport links
7-10 mins walk to Palmers Green rail station with frequent trains into Central London.
2-10 mins walk to local bus routes linking to Wood Green/Bounds Green/Southgate Tube Stations (Piccadilly Line) and Highgate/East Finchley (Northern Line).

The room compromises of:

* Very large sash windows with
nets/blinds and lots of natural light.
* Original Parquet flooring.
* Fireplace/mantle/mirror.
* Large built in corner desk with
remote control lights.
* Two wall heaters plus an extra
plug-in oil heater (if you require it).
* One large vintage wooden dresser
- this comes as part of the room.

Shared kitchen, living-room, dining room, bathroom (only shared with one other housemate) and private parking available.

Who we’d like to live with...

We’re looking for someone who is mature, responsible, clean and tidy plus willing to pull their weight and contribute to upkeep of the home (in shared areas especially).

We’re by no means militant but would want someone who isn’t opposed to taking a turn to run the hoover round every few weeks so we can keep on top of housework etc. We take pride in where we live and wish to continue to look after it.

We’d like someone who is friendly, easy going and sociable with a good sense of humour.
We like to socialise but also do our own thing so someone who is similar would fit in well.
We’re not a party house as we prefer to be more on the mellow side of things these days rather than crazy.

Someone who is likeminded and wants to be part of a shared home with a friendly atmosphere.
We’re laid back as people, considerate of one another and believe in communication.
This is particularly important to us as we only want to live with someone who is respectful with similar values.

If you are especially into film, music, gigs, art, books, football, psychology would be a Brucey Bonus! ;)

Due to Covid and working from home we'd ask for at least 24 hours notice if you'd like to view property in person. We’re also more than happy to have video chat if you'd like to get to know a bit more about us before or after a viewing.
