Looking for a new flatmate to share this beautiful ground floor two bed flat with a garden. Suitable for folks with pets.
Available from 18th of June, the available bedroom is nice and spacious, with high ceiling and direct private access to the garden (the flat has two points of access to the garden). The room will be freshly painted and could come unfurnished if you prefer so, however a nice habitat double bed with mattress, desk and wardrobe could be provided. The room is therefore your own to personalise.
The property is managed by a local agency as the landlord lives abroad. The flat has been fully refurbished four years ago, having all the rooms damp proofed and redecorated. The property gets quite a lot of natural light (E-W orientation) and it has wooden floors throughout.
The kitchen is rather small, but very well equipped. The bathroom is a good size and it has a bathtub. The garden is a great feature especially during these times, with a nice green patio, planting beds and a shed. I have been gardening a bit during lockdowns & furlough, though any green fingers enthusiasts are an added bonus.
I have loved living here for the past five years, there is a real sense of community. I am 29 and work in architecture, enjoy art, travelling and hiking. I work 4 days a week in the office and one day from home. I also like cooking and during lockdowns I restarted sourdough baking.
This flat is a relaxed and welcoming home and I’m looking for someone to call this their home too. Sharing is very much part of my experience in London and I value the communal aspects of this, but that being said I also value time alone. I have been very lucky to share flats with like minded people that value our planet and its finite resources and we have been really good at recycling and refilling for the house.
This area is one of the best I know as there are not many places where you can have both the green retreats, the hectic urban places with some of the best local cafes, restaurants and shops and also great night life, all just minutes walking!
The flat is situated on a quiet residential street in Peckham/East Dulwich, minutes away from Goose Green and Peckham Rye Common.
Transport wise we are well connected - we have both Peckham Rye station and East Dulwich station just 10 minutes walk from the house. To name a few, you can get to King's Cross in 20 mins, to Victoria in 15 mins, to Dalston Junction in 30 mins or to London Bridge in 15 mins. Also there are plenty of night buses around the house which serve both central and other routes.
I used to cycle into central everyday and it takes me around 30 mins - it's a nice route, mainly quiet ways or cycle highways.
I'm planning to hold 'block viewings' in the next couple of weekends. When you message me please include a bit about yourself. Thanks!
