Double Room near Bellenden Road, Peckham

Hey potential housemate!

We have a giant double bedroom up for grabs in Peckham Rye - available from early August, although we are flexible on dates.

You would be living with four others and a dog - Eden, Iain, Scott and Becki (and Becki’s friendly retriever Ruby). We work super well living together at the mo and have made great friends before through the Spare Room process so are on the hunt for the right person to move in with us!

The House layout:
Ground floor: Big kitchen / living space with skylights, an island, two sinks, SMEG fridge. Also a separate living room (so effectively two living spaces). Private garden with paved patio, grass and a shed.
1st floor - Beckis room, Scotts room, your room and a communal bathroom with bath/shower.
2nd floor - Eden and Iain’s big bedroom with ensuite.

The Room:
A double room that looks out onto the garden, with a comfy bed, drawers and shelf. It also has two built in cupboards with rails for hanging space. It doesn’t come with a desk but there is plenty of room for one.

The Area:
The house is 30 seconds walk to Bellenden road, the much sought after part of Peckham with nice shops and restaurants galore. It’s a 15 minute walk to Lordship Lane in Dulwich, and a 5 minute walk to Peckham Rye high street. The closest station is Peckham Rye which is approx 7 mins away, and East Dulwich is 10 mins. Both have great links to get around the city.

Costs:
£800/ month excluding bills - which vary but are approximately £80 a month.

Flat Vibe:
We are a chilled, friendly household that often hang together in the evenings - eating / playing with ruby, or we go to the pub / out for food / the gym etc. We do however enjoy our own space and are not on top of each other constantly. We all work office Monday to Friday type jobs. Scott and Becki have been friends for years and so knew each other well prior to living with each other, and met Eden and Iain through Spareroom :).

Our other furry housemate is a medium sized, duck tolling retriever called Ruby. She is a year old, so still quite young, and is a playful and loving bundle of energy. She will generally hang downstairs or in the garden in the day / if we’re out, and sleep in Becki’s room / downstairs at night. She loves a game of tug, cuddles and kisses, treats/bones and playing with her park friends. Ideally we’d have someone that loves dogs as much as we do!

Overall we’re relaxed, friendly and sociable people who are looking for a low maintenance, open minded and clean housemate. At the moment we all keep the house tidy and all do our bit to keep the place clean and a nice environment to live in.

Scott - 30 - Went to drama school and trained as an actor. Very sociable and love going to see live music and keeping busy.

Eden - 28 - A writer at an architecture company. Always up for socialising, preferably in one of Peckham’s many wonderful pubs! I enjoy cooking, a good night out, chilled Sundays, and try to squeeze in a run/trip to the gym when I can :)

Iain - 30 - Civil engineer / aspiring software developer with a love of music/pubs/food/running/golf/boats

Becki - 27 - Works in a marketing agency in central. Gym/yoga, art, dog- things and anything outdoorsy. My boyfriend of 6 years, Ben (scott’s childhood best pal), is in the marines and based in Devon but is back most weekends :)
