The Room: Bright double room with enough space to furnish with a desk/shelves. The room is furnished (bed, side drawers, wardrobe). Other furniture as seen in pictures are my own but can possibly leave behind.

Communal Space: Large open plan kitchen and living room with existing furniture and houseplants that are mine. The kitchen includes a dishwasher and large fridge. The common area also has its own balcony, a washer, and a large shared bath.

The Building + Area: The building is a new development and comes with bike shed, double entry doors with phone entry system + cameras, and an elevator. Just off Rye Lane, the flat is a 3 min. walk to Peckham Rye Station and around a 10 min. walk to Peckham Rye Park. There are lots of supermarkets, restaurants, and pubs close by.
Accessibility: The building is wheelchair accessible, with a good-size elevator and no steps at the front door or elsewhere in the flat. However, the building doors as well as the front door need to be manually opened.

You will be sharing the house with ONLY ME. I'm Chantel (she/they), a queer Singaporean Chinese who is an artist and freelancer. I like to cook, dance, make nails, play with ceramics (among a million other hobbies that I circulate between 🤮). I’m a gentle human and appreciate my alone time, though the occasional dinners and movie night would be cute.

I’m looking for a fellow housemate that is intentional in the way they treat the home, and who also cares about cleanliness, communication, and COVID precautions. I’ve had bad experiences in the past, so it’s important to me that we can speak honestly and directly and share responsibility for the flat. If you’re QTPOC that would be great, but not a prerequisite. Since we live in a new build and are part of the gentrification of Peckham, a huge bonus would be if you were also interested in learning more about the local history and find ways to give back to the neighbourhood.
