We are planning to renew the contract for another year in our current home subject to filling two beautiful rooms we have available as our current flatmates have planned to buy!
We are in a quiet, leafy spot in Putney not far from the riverside. The house is Victorian. with spacious with high ceilings & an abundance of communal space - a double sized bay-fronted living room , kitchen/ dining area & a private patio garden on the ground floor.
Bedroom 1: £900 per month, unfurnished but with inbuilt wardrobe and wall shelving for storage, a lovely fireplace (non-working, but a nice aesthetic!) and view out to the back courtyard.
Bedroom 2: £1150 – as this is the very spacious master bedroom – with another leafy view and double built in wardrobes and fireplace.
We also have an abundance of extra storage space in the cellar for suitcases etc. etc!
Putney is a brilliant area & has a great community vibe. Lower Richmond Road includes pubs, restaurants, coffee spots & a little Sainsbury’s. Putney High Street has everything else & there are heaps of green spots to explore. Best of all the beautiful river, which you can walk down and see the rowers, have a cheeky drink at The Duke’s Head or stroll/cycle the tow path to Barnes or Hammersmith.
The house is approx. 10 minutes walk to Putney station (1/2 hour to get to Waterloo) or 15 minutes to Putney Bridge tube (district line).. or take the Uber boat up the Thames!
You would be living with Claire & I – we’re both professionals working in Media/Fashion/Marketing. Claire is British and I am Australian but have been living in London for just shy of ten years so know how to make a decent cup of tea for everyone when it’s my round.
We love the usual - hitting the pub, dinners, food markets, theatre, the rugby & tennis etc. We're looking for two friendly, relaxed, and tidy flatmates. We're social (but not a ‘party house’) & love to hang out for a chat, TV session (Friends is usually our default background) & a drink together, but also respect we all need 'me-time' too! We usually WFH ~ twice a week.
Bills will be approx. £150 month, (TV/Wifi, gas/water, council tax(band G) + a cleaner who comes twice a month for communal areas). There will be a £50 letting fee with the agency to move in + reference checks/contract to sign. The landlord is super helpful and supportive if we ever need anything checked or fixed in the house.
Move in date early August but a little earlier may be possible based on departure of current flatmates. We will be looking to do viewings & find people as soon as possible though so we can lock in the contract renewal.
