Hello there! We are looking for a friendly/clean person to fill the (enormous) master bedroom in our spacious house in Shoreditch. Please take a look at the video, pics, and description below, and let us know a little bit about yourself if you're interested :)
HOUSE - a large, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, spread across 5 floors. The living area comes with a great open plan kitchen, a massive living room, and a large dining table that can fit 8+ people (great for hosting dinner parties). We also have a small garden/patio ideal for sunny days, as well as a park/garden just outside our front door.
ROOM - The room is the biggest bedroom I've seen in London (closer to a large studio). It has its own living room area, as well as space for a desk, full gym, king bed, and lots of other furniture (and there's still space leftover)! The room also gets a ton of natural light, with windows overlooking Shoreditch Church garden. It comes mostly unfurnished, with the exception of the big wardrobe, the loveseat, and the IKEA 8-cube storage unit next to the desk. I'd be open to selling some of the other furniture, which I own, as well. You would share a bathroom with one other person.
LOCATION - We're 4 mins walk to Shoreditch High Street Station, 10 mins walk to Old Street Station, and 14 mins walk from Liverpool Street Station. There is also very well connected bus routes with stops about 1 min walk from our house.
HOUSEMATES - The current housemates are 3 girls - Emma (English, a lawyer), Shauna (Irish, works in healthcare), and Melissa (English, works in health tech). We're a friendly house and always end up gathering in the evenings a few days a week to cook, chat or watch some tele. We all have our own social lives, but we also like to hang out together in our free time.
LOOKING FOR - We're looking for a young professional, who is easy going, respectful of other people living in the house, tidy and sociable. Someone who wants to be part of a home, and not just a shared flat. Must be LGBTQ friendly!
AVAILABILITY - Mid May (rent is paid on the 16 of each month).
You would be joined to the current lease which ends the 16th of September 2022 at which point the contract can be extended as a house, if that’s what we decide.
BILLS
Your share of the bills come to about £150 per month (give or take - higher in the winter) which also covers a cleaner every two weeks to clean common areas and bathrooms. We manage and split the bills using the Splitwise app. Anything we buy for the house (cleaning supplies etc) we also add to Splitwise.
RENT is £1175 per month (exclusive of any bills) and the estate agent will run reference checks. We have a property agent and we have not had any trouble with them to day
