I am a higher level teaching assistant and work in a main stream school with special educational needs students. I have a lovely, quiet room to rent overlooking the garden in my three bedroom house in South Norwood. I have turned one of the bedrooms into a living room with a sofa bed and you can have use of that for extra privacy if wanted. There is also a large sitting/dining room with access to the garden and a kitchen and bathroom. I have two cats, Ivy and Willow and live on a quiet, residential road with lovely neighbours around.
Transport links are excellent. It's a 4-5 minute walk to Norwood Junction station from the house and you can get a fast train to London Bridge in ten minutes. It's also one stop away from East Croydon which pretty much gets you anywhere. There is a great bus and tram service too.
There are lots of lovely pubs here as well as a craft beer place, wine and cheese shop/bar and cocktail bars. There are nice places to eat including a pizza restaurant and a Polish cafe that makes the most delicious stew. Norwood Lakes is a short walk away as is the Country Park. There is a leisure centre and the beautiful Art Nouveau Stanley Halls, which hosts lots of events such as art workshops, theatre, music etc.
