A friendly but frail elderly gentleman is seeking a Sharer for his home to give him a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

He likes to be as independent as possible would really benefit from some practical help around the house including shopping, cooking an occasional meal, help opening jars/tins or chopping veg, ad hoc other practical help such as changing lightbulbs, errands, light cleaning and tidying, plus the friendly reassurance of having someone around his home in the afternoons and evenings/overnight.

The accommodation on offer is a bright double room with ample wardrobe space – currently furnished with a single bed but potentially this could be changed for a double – and shared use of the bathroom, kitchen, garden and (respectfully) the sitting room. There is a monthly cleaner, an ad hoc gardener and support from nearby family.

The property is conveniently located in Southfields, a 7-minute walk from Southfields Underground station (District Line Zone 3). The area is also well-served by buses, and there are lots of local shops.

He enjoys watching sports (especially football, cricket and tennis) and takes an interest in the news and politics. He is quite a quiet person and happy in his own company but does also enjoy a little company and a chat.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
