Furnished King Room, Freshly Decorated Maisonette

You would be living with me (34 year old female homeowner) and my 8 year old male Shih Tzu who loves people. He is fluffy yet hypoallergenic so doesn’t shed fur and is allowed on the sofa. He gives enthusiastic friendly greetings and then usually calms down quickly and sleeps most of the day. He barks if he hears the door but quickly stops when asked to. I usually take him to doggy day care when I go to work but the room would suit someone who works from home some days and would like to have him there for company.

You would be in a freshly decorated double (king) bedroom in a fully furnished split-level ex-council flat in a quiet, leafy area of Southfields SW18 (between Wimbledon & Putney). The room has a spacious built-in wardrobe, a new memory foam king Simba mattress on new hydraulic lift-up king sized storage bed. Large, sunny shared lounge/ dining room with new carpet and large sofa; good sized separate kitchen with gas hob/ cooker, air-fryer, dishwasher and washing machine; bathroom with jacuzzi bath upstairs and additional downstairs shower/ toilet, all freshly painted. It’s a 3 bed flat but 3rd bedroom will not be occupied and is currently used for drying laundry, but could also double as a home office. Street parking permit can be purchased for around £170 per year. Entrance to flat up one flight of stairs and accessed via balcony walkway that overlooks up communal garden.

A bit about me and the housemate I’m looking for:

I don’t drink alcohol (anymore!), I live a healthy balanced lifestyle and I’m looking for a housemate who is respectful of this.

I’m a primary school teacher so I generally get to bed pretty early on weeknights and looking for someone who has a routine to complement this.

I’m vegetarian / pescatarian and although I’m not a huge foody it would be great to have a housemate who would enjoy having an occasional meal together.

I have a fairly active social life, go to a weekly improv class, sing in a band and do the occasional salsa class but equally love restful evenings laying on the sofa with Netflix. It would be great to live with someone who has their own life and hobbies but is comfortable watching some true crime or trash TV in the lounge if we both happen to be at home.

I’ve recently had the whole flat repainted/ carpeted and I love coming home to a fresh, clean and tidy home so need someone who also appreciates this and is responsible for tidying/ cleaning up after themselves.

My home is my sanctuary so my priority is finding the right person to share my space with, so im willing to be flexible on moving dates for the ideal housemate. Would also consider Mon-Fri occupant.

The flat is on the 3rd and 4th floors of a small block that is 12 min walk from Southfields tube (District Line, 30min to West End); 4 min walk to 39/156 bus stop to Clapham Junction (approx 15 mins bus ride); 10 min walk to Southside Shopping Centre through King George’s Park.

Available from April 3rd 2024.

£950 per month including bills (water, gas and electric, Ultrafast wifi, cleaner)
