We have a lovely double room available in a Victorian conversion (upper maisonette) in Southwark.

THE ROOM
The room is furnished with a double bed (with storage underneath), fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, and shelving unit. There is a toilet next door and it looks out onto a garden with a tree, so lots of privacy. The room doesn’t have a floor above it (so no noisy neighbours moving furniture at midnight!).

THE HOUSE
Everything is over three stories, so lots of space and storage. Your room is on the first floor, and a kitchen and lovely spacious living room with high ceilings and bay windows on the second floor. The top floor has another bathroom with a combined bath/shower, and the other two bedrooms.

The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven and washing machine. There’s plenty of storage around the flat (both in the living room and in separate wardrobes and shelving units) and great WiFi.

Rent is £670 per month (paid to the estate agency) and bills are around £100 per month (paid separately), which include gas, electricity, internet and council tax.

There is an estate agent administration fee, which must be paid before you can move in of £50 and a deposit of £844.60 (part of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme). You will need to provide proof of salary from bank statements, a copy of your passport, and a reference from a previous landlord.

You'd be sharing with the two of us, Caroline and Ollie :) We’re two young professionals in our late twenties/early-thirties. We’re both independent and have our own lives, but we love getting together to cook food, have a chat and a cup of tea or drinks, or go for dinners or nights out.

We like to keep our house clean and tidy and have a cleaning rota shared between us. We like this place to be a calm and cosy place to come home to rather than just somewhere to sleep or a party flat.

THE AREA
We’re located in zone 1, and it’s an amazing place and location for the price – within short walking distance of 5 stations:
• 10 mins to Borough (Northern Line), Southwark (Jubilee Line) or Elephant & Castle (Bakerloo, Northern & Overground)
• 7 mins walk to Waterloo station
• 15 mins walk to London Bridge station

It’s perfect if you work in the City (walk to work!). The flat is also very close to the amazing Borough Market, Mercato Metropolitano (another food market with excellent pizza), Flatiron Square and South Bank; all great for bars and cafes. It’s a 10 minute walk from the river.

There is a Co-op, Tesco Express and Sainsbury’s Local nearby, convenient bus stops for main London bus routes and a Barclays Bike station just around the corner of the flat.

We're looking for another professional (no students or couples please and no smokers), who'd like a place to call home and flatmates to call friends.
