Double room available in a well maintained ground floor maisonette on John Ruskin Street.

The rent is £625 and bills are £75 payable every four weeks.

Double room furnished with a double bed with memory foam mattress, large wall-hung mirror, wooden wardrobe and chest of drawers, table/desk and vinyl covered chair and three storage shelves.

The bathroom is shared by the two of us and has a toilet, hand basin and shower over bath with glass pivot screen.

The kitchen has a microwave and toaster a gas hob and electric fan oven. Fridge, freezer and washing machine. Well stocked with pots pans etc. Good fridge skills appreciated. All my white goods were new a year ago so it’s all in pretty good nick.

A bit about me. I talk to have two Bengal cats and far too many plants. My work is art based. I also do a bit of gardening, and odd maintenance jobs. My workshop is on the ground floor of the house. That is where I spend most of my time when I’m home.

My home is very clean and I would appreciate someone who will be respectful and leave things as they are found, particularly in the communal areas. Downstairs is open plan. So I do like to keep the kitchen looking it’s best.

I am liberal in my politics and LGBTQ friendly and would like to share my home with someone who shares those values.

As I have some allergies and also because the cats are in and out I do hoover/clean quite regularly.

I have a small garden that I’m passionate about. Back door is usually open weather permitting. I like fresh air.

I have good neighbours here and we look out for each other. It’s quite a friendly block with a community spirit. That’s quite nice in London.

Walworth Road is a five minute walk away with access to plenty of shops and other local amenities and connections to plenty of bus routes.

Kennington Station is about a 12-15 minute walk away which accesses the Northern Line and Elephant & Castle Station is also within walking distance.

Extremely vibrant and mixed local community.
Parking is via permits from Southwark Council and can be arranged.
