Room available in our lovely flat!

We have a lovely room available from April in a three-bed flat in Stepney Green (between Whitechapel and Shadwell). (Move-in date is flexible.

The flat is split over two levels (we are on the second floor and there’s no lift fyi) with two balconies - fabulous in the summer! The room available is a large double room and comes furnished (bed/sofa/bedside table/shelves/desk) and the flat has loads of storage in general. The room looks out on the beautiful greenery of our estate - it’s super quiet and all our neighbours are really friendly.

While there is no living room, we have a big kitchen plus a small spare room - mostly used as laundry drying space/gaming room/space for any guests (we have an air mattress). Would definitely welcome any furniture to make it into more of a communal space (fingers crossed for a futon).

We are a 15 minute walk to Whitechapel (Elizabeth line, H&C line, district line, overground), 14 min walk to Stepney Green station (H&C line, district line), 13 min walk to Limehouse (DLR) and a 15 min walk to Shadwell (DLR and overground) as well as three bus lines a two min walk from the flat going to Old Street, Trafalgar Square and Canary Wharf - so altogether fab transport links.

The other two flatmates will be me (Iris) and Edda - and we've lived together for almost three years now (although I've been in the flat for almost four!). I am a sustainability consultant and WFH 2 ish days per week and Edda is a freelance producer and tattoo artist and is also in/out of the flat during the week.

We mostly have our own social lives but are always cooking in the kitchen together or hanging out in the flat, with the occasional comedy night and pub outing.
Our current housemate Nelsin is moving out due to work so we are looking to find someone for his room. We are looking for someone chill and fun, who will treat the flat as their home😊

Deposit: £923
Rent: £947 per month
Bills: roughly £100 per month

TENANCY
• We rent directly from our landlord, through OpenRent, and would sign a new contract with all three names on once we find someone for the room.
• Benefits accepted
• Landlord will run a credit check (if moving from outside the UK will require a UK guarantor or 6 months rent up front)
ACCESSIBILITY
• The flat is on the 2nd floor (no lift) and there is one set of stairs within the flat as well - available room is on the lower floor with the kitchen and the bathroom is upstairs.
