Nice double room in a bright friendly house in Stockwell (furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, a desk and chair).
The rest of the house features a huge kitchen and living room and slightly ridiculously sized bathroom. And there's also an attic if anything needs storage.
You’ll be sharing with a culture-obsessed journalist and a civil servant/software engineer, both in our early 40s, which means we're the type of people who do horrifically middle-aged things like listen to the World Service and Radio 4 when in the kitchen and are a bit anal about recycling...
We both work hard during the week, and often seem to be caught doing so at weekends, but we're a really friendly house and it'd be great to get someone nice to replace Fadwa who's sadly moving home to Saudi Arabia for a new job after a couple of years.
The flat's 8 mins to Stockwell tube according to Google Maps, which is handy as you can get both the Victoria and Northern lines in case one's shut, and 10 mins from both Clapham North and Brixton tubes.
Rent's £703/month, plus bills which are around £132/month (they'll go down £50 in those wonderful couple of months each year when council tax isn’t paid). The house is in council tax band d, as apparently I have to mention!
The room's available from Jan. 17 once Fadwa’s off, although obviously we're more than happy to wait for someone great. The contract runs until mid-August although we've renewed many times and get asked if want to each June.
Would suit a professional, and it'd be great if you're female as we'd love to maintain the gender balance in the house, so come round for a viewing!
