Large Double room in friendly flat in Stockwell!

Hi! We’re Hannah and Michelle - one of our housemates is moving out, so we have one really great large double room available, in a three bedroom split level flat in Stockwell. Available from the 15th of September, but there is some wiggle room if needed.

THE ROOM
The room is a large double, with a big window that allows for lots of natural light, and a massive built-in wardrobe (that we are very jealous of, ha!) The room is furnished with a double bed and mattress, and chest of drawers, and there’s plenty of room for a desk if you need to work from home.

THE FLAT
The flat is a spacious three bedroom on the fourth floor of a five floor building (there is a lift, don’t worry!). It is split across two levels, with a large living room and separate kitchen downstairs, and the three bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. We also have a small balcony going out from the living room (which is a real sun spot!)

THE AREA
We’re a 5 minute walk from Stockwell station, which is on the Victoria and Northern lines, so super easy and convenient to get around, and about a 7 minute walk from Oval station. You can also walk to Brixton in about 15 minutes, and Vauxhall in about 20 minutes, which is great if you need the train. The piece de resistance is the Lidl which is literally across the road. It’s a really lovely area, not too busy or loud, but with nice local pubs, restaurants and parks dotted around, and easy access to the more buzzy Brixton and Clapham.

THE HOUSEMATES
We are Hannah (27, she / her, works in the Arts sector) and Michelle (27, she / her, works in Publishing). We are an LGBTQIA+ and POC friendly household. We like going to exhibitions, gigs and drag shows, and getting hooked on a new TV show every few weeks. We throw the occasional house party, but mostly just like to chill in the evenings, and are out and about most weekends. We are actively trying to become better plant mums, so any and all advice and skills are welcome!

We’d love to live with a like minded person, who’s up for going for a drink and hanging out in the evenings when they’re free, but also no pressure to do so.

RENT AND BILLS
Rent: £720 per month
Bills: We’ve just switched to a new energy provider (in the hopes of lowering our costs) but it will roughly be £100 a month, including council tax, water, electricity and internet.
Council tax band: C
Tenancy length: 12 months
