Hello,
We live in a deceptively spacious 4 bed pad, above a picture framer, in the heart of cosy Stoke Newington - 3 girls and two guys.
Durassie, secured a job where he'll be contracted South, so his room will be available for anyone looking for a short stay.
To keep the equilibrium, we'd love someone who is artistically inclined, but saying that, we are, as ever open minded.
The spacious single room is located on the first floor, fully furnished with natural morning sunlight, overlooking the rear gardens.
The room is also adjacent to our downstairs loo, which almost makes it an "ensuite", haha.
We are all between ages 29-35,
Meg works in film/documentary production,
Whitney works in design/media/art (and plenty of other things),
Ada works at a youth development NGO,
Guido is an actor, musician and poet, plus occasional crooner
and Durassie is a voice artist and actor in physical theatre and dance.
HOUSE:
We have a kind of communal approach to the living situation, we work on a trust basis, share most things and cook proper food together, mostly vegetarian, and for each other when possible, so we would like someone that is keen to get involved with that. We're all friends and we all very much treat it as a home rather than accommodation, this is important to us and we would like the new member to have a similar approach! We have furniture and plants that we have accumulated along the way and most essentially a decent sound system and record player. We love music, hosting, socialising and watching films - we have projector on which regularly watch films/tv in the large living room. However on an average day and during the week the house is pretty quiet, and chilled. Also decent sized kitchen with dining table, one bathroom and an additional toilet.
We currently have an expanding music lounge with various instruments so any musical talents a plus.
LOCATION, TRANSPORT:
The house is extremely conveniently located in Stoke Newington, between Church St. & Newington Green.
Approx 15 minutes walk from Dalston or Canonbury overground stations. Opposite a bus stop, a health food store, two lovely homely cafes with gardens and a tattoo parlour, what more do you need?
We are looking for someone to move ideally 26th of January until March 19th, but there's some flexibility.
RENT:
The rent is £640 per month with bills up to around 40-50, so around £691 total, HOWEVER happy to offer the room for £590, and the plus side is that only February and March would need to be paid.
As the March tenancy is 3 weeks we can definitely discuss and agree on a fee there 👍🏾
Please tell us a little bit about yourself and get in touch if you have any questions at all!
Look forward to hearing from you.
A lot of love
