Our warehouse home has a very large shared space with large rooms and has a calm, relaxed and sociable feel to it. We are friendly, creative and all really love living here. We are Jess (she), Sarah (she), Johanna (she), Lloyd (he) and Leo (he). And Spartacus, the local cat, who comes to visit quite regularly.
LGBTQ+ friendly.

We've had a rent reduction which is now £670 until 1 November and £720 after that. Bills are £100 (fluctuate slightly in winter) which includes all utility bills plus fast internet and a bi-weekly cleaner (but we also keep on top of household cleaning etc. ourselves).

There is a mix of careers in the house - Johanna is a psychology student (mature student) specialising in neuroscience with a background in fashion, Sarah works in cultural relations/international development, Jess and Leo are both graphic designers and Lloyd works in various creative industries. (Four of us are currently WFH.)

Our collective interests include cooking, yoga, cycling, motorcycling, recycling, upcycling, freecycle, plants, colour, design, music – from folk to metal, macramé making, reading, board games, swimming, walking, art exhibitions and good conversation.

The open plan kitchen is home to many round-table gatherings, communal dinners and is generally the heart of the house but there's also an open living room for reading, chess/backgammon, chilling and life chats. We're open to moving things around and for everyone to input into the design and vibe of the place. Ideas and more plants are welcome!

Our rooms are in different corners of the space, so each room is private and quiet. The bedroom available comes with a custom-built bed frame which can fit a queen size mattress. The room is essentially unfurnished (besides for the bed), but we do have some shelving units and a desk available if you need one, or of course just bring your own things.

In the shared spaces we have three pianos (incl. one grand) and outside is a large outdoor quiet "urban garden" (car park) with a braai/BBQ, planters, veg garden, astroturf and a communal outdoor dining area. The space changes with the seasons.

We have parking (with no height restrictions) which is free, safe and enclosed behind a gate with a keycode.
We have two bathrooms (one with a bathtub), a washing machine, a dishwasher, two decent fridges, two freezers and two good sized storage rooms for tools, suitcases, washing lines and other life activity paraphernalia.

We have a great community and neighbours who are friendly and inviting. There are often group dinners, workshops, outdoor cinema, live music taking place and gatherings around the fire pit.

We’re open to occasionally hosting small events and have friends around for dinner, but otherwise it's relaxed and tidy. *This is not a party warehouse, but there is plenty happening around us.

We are looking for someone who is looking for a place to call home, is kind, fun, considerate, contributes to the house vibe, and admin.

Move in prior to move in date is flexible-ish. Just ask.

If you don't already know it, Stoke Newington is a great area. We're 10 mins from Church St & Dalston is a 15 min walk. Great travel connections - Stoke N overground is at the end of Belfast road (which is a pretty short road). There are regular 24-hour buses just next to the station going down to all main central locations and back.

It takes about 30 minutes cycle / bus / train to central London and walking distance to decent coffee shops, bars, vintage markets, parks, canals and everything else you might want in your area.
