The house is a 5-bedroom Victorian terrace with a large open-plan living room and kitchen and a paved garden on a quiet, residential street. It’s a 2-minute walk to Stoke Newington Overground station with lots of pubs, restaurants and green spaces close by.

The house is spacious and homely. It has a dishwasher, and we have a lot of freedom to decorate, plant up the garden etc. so it feels like a proper home. There is one bathroom (shower, toilet) and a small downstairs toilet shared between 4 of the housemates.

The rent includes all the usual bills (council tax, WiFi, gas, electricity) which we split evenly and a cleaner who comes once a week to clean the communal spaces.

We have a very responsive landlord and the rent just went up so will be fixed until at least next April.

The ad is for 2 rooms. A small bedroom and a separate space which is currently being used as a walk in wardrobe as our current flatmate works in the office, but could be used however you’d like. It’s the quietest room as it sits over the extension and is cosy with big windows and plenty of light. The office room fits a desk and could also be used as a small hang out space with a futon or similar.

The 4 of us are good friends and want to keep up the family/ community vibe of the house. We all have our own friends and hobbies but spend a lot of time together when we’re free watching TV, grabbing coffee or having dinner.

Louise, 30, she/her: loves film, books and hanging out. Works for a human rights charity from home (in her room).
Kat, 31, she/they, into various forms of storytelling and contemporary/performing art e. g. galleries are my vibe, also like balancing going out and dancing with friends with long walks, dinners, cafe reading, and seeing family. Have mostly worked in non-profit sector.
Sophie, 33, she/her loves a night in but is also out seeing friends, trying new hobbies and running to the wetlands for a nature fix. Works from the office 4 days a week managing workspaces.
Chase, 31, he/him, often found reading in cafes on Church Street, at boxing class or working on a new sewing project. Out and about in London a lot and works in tech in the office 5 days a week.

Please let us know a bit about you including your interests, what you’re looking for in a place to live and your housemates, your work and anything else that’s good to know.
