Convenient! Just 4 minutes walk to Streatham Common Station getting to Victoria in 18 minutes and London bridge in 30 minutes. Link to Northern Line at Balham station one stop up from our station. There is also a night bus stop is 2 minutes walk away. Additionally the other Streatham station 12 minutes walk away has a Thameslink service going through central London
All bills included - gas, electricity, water, council tax, TV licence, cleaner, and fast fibre internet. How fast? It’s 2.5 Gbps, so practically several people could work from home down or uploading heavy data streams simultaneously. There’s also an allotment behind the garden you can use.
The Broader Details:
There is a huge kitchen-diner with 2 cookers, 2 sinks, 3 fridge/freezers a washing machine air fryer and dishwasher all integrated into the units and loads of storage space for all with 4 USB charging outlets by the table and a large TV. As there is plenty of storage, kitchen tidiness is valued so there is a requirement for residents not to leave items on the tops or sinks.
Both the kitchen and bathroom have concealed mood lighting which can be programmed through a phone app. There is free parking outside and CCTV coverage all around the house.
The residents are keen to maintain a great homely atmosphere here with a fulfilling balance between private spaces and 'communal vibe' where housemates have a social aptitude towards getting on well and cleaning up after themselves but not living in each other's pockets.
We do like maintaining the place with a high level of cleanliness. For example as there is plenty of storage space in the kitchen, we require clutter free worktops in the kitchen and no items left for washing later in the sinks. It is also a place where we don't wear outside footwear in the house with plenty of shoe racks in the porch. Around 2 years ago unfortunately we had to give an eviction notice to someone who persistently fell short of our cleanliness requirements so please be sure this place suits you.
It's not a party or student house, with a requirement that music, TV etc should not be heard in the next room after 8pm. If you are interested in gardening, residents of this house can have use of an allotment behind the garden which like other all bills is included in your rent.
The bedrooms have been dressed with new quality bedding and furniture with each having a double bed, wardrobe, chest, bed side tables, bed side lamps and other smaller items. There are 4 double sockets in each bedroom one with 2 integrated USB charging outlets.
Whilst this is a quiet residential road, it is very convenient in having access to the station and various shops and takeaways within 5 minutes walk. It is a diverse and bustling area with Europe's longest high street, 10 minutes walk away with loads more amenities like 24hour supermarkets, pubs, bars, restaurants, night clubs, a highly reputed Jazz club, theatres, cinemas, gyms, sports centres, a wonderful park and even an ice rink.
During a viewing, once the house tour is over I would leave you alone with any of the housemates to chat about any aspects of the house, the atmosphere here and even about me as a landlord and how I manage the place.
I have my own private flat within the building so apart from the front door and main entrance, you wont generally see me in the rest of the house and it’s communal areas so our lives are quite seperate.
