I am a live-in landlord searching for a nice and like-minded people to share my flat with. Each of us has their own bedroom and we will be sharing the living space including living room, kitchen, bathroom and garden. I am happy to discuss commuter lets (i. e. Monday to Friday only).
Both available bedrooms have a double bed (bedroom 2 has an Ottoman bed for easy under-bed storage), a good sized wardrobe and shelving. Additional storage is available in the attic which spans the whole of the property.
The flat is a bright and spacious first/top floor flat that benefits from high ceilings, plenty of windows and its own front entrance. The large and completely refurbished kitchen is at the back of the flat with direct access to a private garden with a Bramley apple tree, where I have built a BBQ and raised beds (yes me!) to grow vegetables. I am also in the process of having an indoor Aquaponics system built in the kitchen for year-round growing of (hopefully) edible veg. An attic with easy ladder access spans the entire length of the flat and is available for additional storage.
The property has excellent transport links including Streatham station (a 7-minute walk for access to Blackfriars, London St Pancras, London Bridge and Luton) as well as Streatham Common station (a 10-minute walk for London Victoria, Clapham Junction, East Croydon and Gatwick). Balham and Tooting Bec tube stations are a 5-minute bus ride away whilst Brixton is a 25 minutes bus ride for the Victoria line. There are frequent buses day and night to central London. Both Croydon University Hospital and St George's hospital in Tooting are within a 30-minute bus ride.
The flat is situated on a quiet residential road directly off Streatham High road for a choice of supermarkets - seven within 15 minutes’ walk max. (Aldi, Marks & Spencer, Tesco Extra, Tesco Express, Sainsbury's, Sainsbury's Local and Lidl). There are also numerous local butchers, bars, restaurants, gyms (The Gym, Virgin Active, Fitness First and Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre) as well as live music venues such as the Hideaway and the White Lion. Brixton, Clapham and Balham are not far for further choices of bars, restaurants and shops. Jogging routes include Tooting Commons - with tennis courts and lido - and Streatham Common which also has tennis courts and a rookery.
All rent, inclusive of bills (i. e. council tax, gas, electricity, broadband), is paid in advance i. e. rent paid on the 31st January is payment for the month of February. Proof of ID, a reference from your previous landlord and a one-month deposit are required prior to moving in.
