Light Double Room in a Spacious House near Tooting

One of our housemates is sadly moving out of their room in our shared four bedroom house located in the quiet Furzedown neighbourhood minutes from Tooting Common. The room is available from the 23rd February 2026 until the end of the current contract on 24th August 26.

The house is about a 15 minute walk from Tooting Bec tube, Streatham, and Streatham Common Stations. Each route provides easy access into Central London. We're just a few minutes walk away from Tooting common and plenty of nearby shops.

The room is a second biggest double in the house with a wardrobe, desk and cupboard space. There is also some extra storage space outside of the room. The real value of the house is the amount of shared space. There is a large office space/living room on the ground floor that fits several desks with lots of additional storage space. Adjacent the kitchen, there is a separate living/dining area that opens up onto a lovely back garden with a communal table, barbecue and storage shed. All bedrooms are on the 1st floor of the house, and we're fortunate to have two bathrooms and an additional WC. One bathroom houses our clothes dryer which is a fantastic perk during the colder months.

You would be sharing with three guys (two British, one South African, all age 27-28), working as a film composer, compliance officer, and lawyer. Music and film are a big part of the house. Everyone is quite social and likes to cook, go for a drink or a film, but each person is also quite dedicated to their work and respectful of each other's time and space. This would be well suited to a graduate student or young professional, and works well for someone who does a bit of work from home as each person in the house does at least some work from the house.

Bills are shared between the house mates and come out to about 150/month. Council Tax Band E.
