Hi
I am renting out my 2 bedroom terraced house as I am moving in with my partner down the road (4 streets away). The layout of the house will be that one person lives in the bedroom downstairs and another in the bedroom upstairs (upstairs room is now taken) - you will only be sharing with one other. You will each have a bathroom to yourself. Bills are £95 per month including electricity, gas, virgin superfast fiber broadband internet, water, & council tax.
The flat is an 8min walk to Tottenham Hale station: Victoria line & National Rail (trains to Oxford Circus & Liverpool St in 15 mins).
The available room is a lovely bright large double. Room has a double bed with under bed drawer storage, wardrobe and mirror, can remove any unwanted furniture at request. Room is large enough to fit desk/home working set up.
The house has carpet upstairs and oak wooden floors downstairs with brand new kitchen and bathrooms. There is a shared living room with L-shaped sofa (which is also a comfy sofa bed) and extendable dining table- which is great for having dinner parties and can seat 6 people when extended. The garden is south facing -so gets afternoon sun- it has outdoor seating which can seat 6 and outdoor electricity sockets and outdoor water tap which are handy for outdoor entertaining and cleaning your bike. There is a spare small double room- on the first floor which could be used for home working or when you have a guest stay the night and there is a carpeted loft room with velux window (accessed via a ladder) which may be used for storage. The house has 2 bathrooms (one which is an en-suite) so you will get the main bathroom (with the bath) for your sole use.
There is under stairs storage on the ground floor which is large enough to fit 2 adult sized bikes as well as cleaning supplies - vacuum cleaner etc…
If you don't know Tottenham, it's really fun and friendly - good high street with fresh fruit and veg shops etc. & farmers market on Sundays
Good Turkish, Caribbean and Italian restaurants nearby, and decent pubs including the Beehive, Ferry Inn & Bluecoats. Also craft breweries Beavertown and Pressure Drop about 10min walk away. Walthamstow Wetlands, Tottenham Marshes & the canal are pretty much next door, which is a nice amount of green space for London.
While the weather is nice and warm now- in winter the house is toasty and cosy- with underfloor insulation combined with new oak flooring, loft insulation and double glazed windows and doors throughout.
Current flat mate is Amy (27) who is occupying the upstairs bedroom working as head of geography at a school in Edmonton- Amy likes cycling, music, travelling & swimming.
Looking forward to meeting you!
