About the flat:

I am currently in the process of redecorating the place, particularly the bedroom advertised here. A new 65" 4K TV is now in the living room, fibre broadband coming imminently and paired smart speakers in the kitchen and living room are among other little extras.

It’s a 2.5 bed flat in Tufnell Park, 2 mins from the tube station. Downstairs is a separate and spacious kitchen and lounge along with the main bathroom and a small office space. Upstairs are the two double rooms and a smaller spare room. My room has an en suite shower so the main bathroom is largely yours. The office space and the spare room could be shared for storage and working but I am primarily using the office for my own work and projects. Covid permitting, very occasionally, the odd friend may stay in the spare room and I’m equally happy for you to use it for that purpose with a bit of notice.

About me:

I’m an airline pilot to pay the bills and I climb as much as I can around that (if you’re a competent climber and belayer yourself that would be a big bonus, The Castle climbing centre in Manor House is not too far and I’m a member). I’m also a fairly keen gamer and guitarist - although I’m very considerate with the latter and if you’re in, I’ll almost always have headphones in so as not to disturb.

In normal times (if we ever return to them!) I’m usually away with work and otherwise out quite a lot be it to climb or to have dinner with friends. However, whilst international travel is quiet as it currently is, I am home a lot more than usual and do some work from home on the side.

I’m keen to find someone who’s the right fit because it’ll just be 2 people in the flat rather than a big house share and I’m not looking to create a space where each person mostly lives in their room, I very much want to use all of the flat. I’m looking for someone who will make a good all-round housemate - we respect each other’s privacy but also happy to have dinner now and again or a movie etc.

In terms of cleanliness I’m pretty on it with keeping things clean and tidy so someone likeminded will take the stress out of that side of things.

One thing I will say is I work shifts and sometimes I do need an early night at the weekend - I do love a night out when I’m not working, of course, but I need someone who would be respectful as and when duty calls and I’m off to bed at 9:30 on a Saturday!

Oh, one last thing, whilst I don’t have any pets I do love dogs and friends may bring one round now and again.
