A lovely double room in Walthamstow close to tube

We are looking for a clean and tidy female lodger for our lovely first floor double room in a beautiful 1901 house with a fabulous kitchen. Our house is comfortable and homely with a friendly vibe. The room is at the back of the house, warm in winter and cool in summer.

The bathroom room is just next door. It has a bath with a powerful shower and is shared with 1 other female lodger.

Our spacious kitchen is the sociable space in the house, although we tend to eat our meals at different times. Our style is independent but friendly. We are happy to chat, but respect your privacy and space.

The house is quiet and relaxed and has a lovely garden you can eat in and chill out in in warmer months. We have two lodgers currently, both young professionals. We also have 2 cats who spend most of their time outside, but like to come into the kitchen to say hello. We have a cleaner who comes every fortnight to clean the kitchen and common areas.

We love living in Walthamstow! Walthamstow is a popular and safe area with lots to explore. There are lots of trendy cafes and restaurants and a great market with street food at the weekends. The leisure centre is a 6 minute walk and there are several gyms nearby. We are a 7 minute walk from Walthamstow Central and a few minutes walk from a lovely park, Tesco Metro, local shops, pubs and cafes. A new Japanese/Korean kitchen has just opened round the corner.

The area has excellent transport links. Tubes from Walthamstow Central can get you to Oxford Circus in 20 minutes on the fast and reliable Victoria Line, which runs 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays. There are several overground lines too, taking you to Liverpool Street in 20 minutes and buses connect us to Stratford.

We have been hosting lodgers for 7+ years and we enjoy meeting new people of different nationalities and backgrounds. Our guests find us friendly and responsive hosts. We are looking for a quiet, respectful female lodger who values and can provide a high level of cleanliness to join our happy household. Ideally, it would suit someone who works away from home or works no more than 2 days a week at home. I’m afraid we cannot accommodate any bikes.
