Double Room near Burgess Park

We have a double room available (with views of the Shard) in our house from 1 February 2025. We can be flexible about the move in date but would like to fill the room by the beginning of March. The house is five floors and very spacious with two floors of living space (2 living rooms, a dining room and a kitchen-diner). The house is fully furnished and is in great condition. We ought to be paying a lot more but as the house was our landlord's family home and he wanted tenants who he could trust to look after the place (one of the group has been renting from him for over 5 years) so we've got a very good deal.

We have a massive garden and are 5 minutes walk from Burgess Park. Its a short walk or bus into Elephant and Castle, Bermondsey, Peckham and Camberwell.

Rent for the room is £685pm and bills are roughly £150 (bi-weekly cleaning included).

Our landlord is planning to sell in January 2026. The contract would be for a minimum of 7 months until 30 September 2025 and then a one month notice period would apply (for both us and the landlord).

We often cook for each other, have friends round for dinner and go to comedy or to the cinema. We're looking for a friendly sociable housemate who will fit into the group, but won't be having parties every weekend!

We all work from the home about 2 days a week and in the office the other three. There's plenty of space in the dining room for working and we have a few foldable desks.
