** No rent to pay until mid-February **
🍂 Fully furnished double room in walking distance to Tower Bridge available now 🌉
THE ROOM:
Fully furnished room with bed, desk, chair, drawers and a clothes rail. Located on the top floor with one other room across the hallway, and the master bathroom in-between which is shared only with these two rooms. The room is West facing which means it gets lots of sunlight in the afternoon and a spectacular view of the city and the Shard. Double-glazed windows keep the room warm and sound-proof. There is shared wardrobe between the two rooms with a rail and lots of shelf storage space.
THE HOUSE:
The house is a fully furnished three-story mid-terrace in the quiet but central Wapping. There is a shared living room used for TV in the evenings and the odd game night. Off the living room is a fully kitted out kitchen/diner with a new fridge/freezer. There is also a handy loo downstairs for guests.
We've also spent a lot of time gardening during lockdown, so the back garden is ready for BBQs/parties when we're allowed again!
At the end of the road is a canal which is home to a family of swans and perfect for a picturesque run. There is a full-sized Waitrose a 5-minute walk away, and a Tesco Express within 10 minutes. We also have St Katherine's Docks on our doorstep which is a host of restaurants and bars. The Circle, District, Overground and DLR are all within a 10/15 minutes’ walk. You can get to the Bank area within a 30 minutes’ walk or a short bus journey which leaves from the end of the road.
THE HOUSEMATES:
You will be sharing a bathroom with Alex, a friendly young professional who enjoys running, cooking and socialising in the evenings. The other room is an en-suite and currently looking for a new occupant. If you move in first, you can be part of the selection process.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
The room goes for £742.50 a month with bills on top which average out to about £80 each which includes council tax, electric/gas, water, wifi.
We let the flat through a well-established agency which handle any repair and maintenance requests that we have. They request 5 weeks deposit, which is about £928, and it’s held in a secure deposit scheme. You must prove a monthly wage of 2.5x the rent (£1856.25/m) for affordability or the agency will not consider the application. They do ask that you provide all references for their checks including proof of funds/employment/guarantor to be accepted onto the lease. Timings-wise, the room is available now.
Look forward to hearing from you :)
