Sadly, I am leaving my wonderful housemate to relocate. I have lived with Ellie and her gorgeous cat Luna for a year and a half, and they've been the perfect companions. Ellie is clean, considerate, kind, funny and friendly and has honestly been the best housemate ever! Luna is a beautiful rescue full of character who loves the occasional snuggle on the sofa.
Ellie is training to be a vet nurse, so a love of animals would be a massive plus. She works nearby and will be studying for her qualification from September onwards, so someone able to be fairly quiet, and always considerate would be well suited.
The flat is well situated - it's just a 10-15 min walk to West Dulwich station (15 min train into Victoria), and 15-20 min walk from West Norwood station (connections to Clapham Junction) and is surrounded by lovely independent shops and restaurants. It's just a 20-30 min walk into Dulwich Village which is beautiful, and closer still to Dulwich Park - where we've spent lots of time running, tanning and picnicking! Alternatively, there's Brockwell Park about a 30 mins walk away which is lots of fun in the summer and is right next to Herne Hill which has a cute makers market and lots of shops, pubs and restaurants worth checking out. There's a little Tesco a few minutes walk from the flat itself, as well as several delis and smaller newsagents/ grocers nearby. If you like going to the cinema, there are 4 excellent ones you can get to by bus/car very easily. If nightlife is more your scene, Peckham and Brixton are very close by and lots of fun.
The room is massive - with big bay windows providing lots of light. It comes unfurnished, but I could potentially leave a bed frame and a few other items if necessary. It is such a nice space I've been very happy living in. If you ever work from home, there is plenty of space for a desk and chair - with lots of room to spare!
The flat has a large open plan kitchen/living area with updated appliances. It is a great space to cook, with a breakfast bar to sit at for meals. There are lots of cupboards - we haven't managed to fill all of them yet! There's a glass door leading out to the beautiful shared garden, where we have our own seating area we love sitting at in the warmer months to have drinks and dinner. The garden is very well maintained by one of our sweet neighbours, and there is space to plant if you're a keen gardener! It is such a tranquil space and the neighbours who share it are so kind - we feel very safe and comfortable knowing they are there (and they're also lovely to chat to.)
The large bathroom with shower is all up to date and working well.
I will be very sad to leave the property, but hope that I can find someone to enjoy it as much as I have. The ideal flatmate would be clean, tidy, respectful, kind and an animal lover.
Please contact me with any queries, can provide further photos on request.
Thanks,
Lucy
