The Flat & Location:
A spacious, well presented raised ground floor 2 double bedroom apartment in peaceful, leafy West Hampstead.
We love the "Wow Factor" living room, beaming with natural light which is exceptionally quiet. Overlooking rear gardens and south facing, our private terrace is a little sun trap and great for fireworks come NYE. The kitchen is separated but overlooks the main reception with new gas hob, dishwasher and washer /dryer along with everything else like a full sized fridge / freezer. It's nice when your guests come to chat and you need to cook. The bathroom has all you need and the location is excellent. West Hampstead is a stunning North London village with all you could ask for. The street that we are on, Mill Lane also has it's own community, quieter than the main high street but with lots of nice coffee shops, florists, a post office and a great Sunday lunch pub, The Alliance.
Depending which direction you take, the main hub is only 5 minutes walk, with all it's various amenities. I love strolling to Hampstead Village/ Heath in the sun, it's only 20 minutes walk and really picturesque.
The various stations, such as the popular Jubilee Line (10 minutes commute to central London & 22 minutes to Canary Wharf) and both over ground stations are a 10 minute walk, door to door.
The Bedroom:
A nicely presented double bedroom at the rear of the property, thus very quiet, much easier for me when going to sleep. Arrange as you like, I have tried many layouts and feel the current is the most practical. The bedroom has a double bed with mattress, double wardrobe and small desk. There's also space for chest of drawers. We have additional storage for suitcases etc in the kitchen pantry and I also utilize underneath the bed for things like shoes & winter/ summer jackets etc.
I personally prefer to spend my time outside my bedroom. I enjoy our private terrace when the sun is out and the large living room and I often WFH in the main reception as I can crack the terrace door for air flow and it oozes with natural light. If you're looking for a massive bedroom, to spend more of your time, or you work from home regularly in the same space you sleep (not for me), this probably isn't the best spot for you.
But if your focus is an amazing location, super peaceful but well connected, a stunning main reception, with private outdoor space and a fantastic flat mate for way under current market value, (I got a great deal) then get in touch!
Your Flatmate:
Giacomo moved in a year ago and is the perfect flatmate in my opinion. Such a lovely guy. Originally from Italy and working in tech, he was a welcome addition to the flat. Giacomo is 37 years old and has a busy work schedule so often enjoys to be in his own space. He's a quiet, respectful, clean flatmate, but also great to chat too when we are both in the mood. He cooks some superb italian dishes and is always happy to share. We've struck the perfect balance and I'm pleased to say are now good friends.
All viewings are welcome. The earliest start date is end May, but can be later as I am flexible. I need one week's notice to pack up. Bills in winter for everything were averaging around £140 each = Council tax, gas/ elec, high speed internet, TV license & water. This reduces heavily in the warmer months.
