Stunning flat share, private complex

ROOM IS AVAILABLE FROM 2 FEBRUARY

This first-floor flat is part of a private apartment complex situated just behind Whitechapel underground (5-minute walk). We're ridiculously close to a Sainsbury’s, but the area also has street markets selling veggies and fruit, corner shops, (organic) shops, (vegan) restaurants, cute (vegan) cafés, plant shops, and pubs. Victoria Park and Mile End Park are both in walking distance (20-min walk), as are Brick Lane (5 min) and Shoreditch (10 min).

Regarding transport, the apartment is right next to Whitechapel Station (5-minute walk; District, Hammersmith & City, Overground, and (someday) the Elizabeth Line), but just far enough to not hear the trains (unless you’re outside). Bethnal Green (Central line) is just a 10-minute walk. If you need the DLR, there’s Shadwell, which is about 15 minutes on foot. The bus network is excellent, and it’s also super easy to get to the city by bike; for example, it’s just 20 minutes to Waterloo.

The flat has a modern bathroom and fully fitted kitchen (including a dishwasher). The (furnished) living room is really spacious, and I would love to shuffle things around together, add some plants (or, maybe, a lot of plants), etc. to make it a home we both enjoy!

There’s a really nice outside area with benches, trees, some nice plants, small ponds with fish, and a few benches and picnic benches. Under normal circumstances, the neighbors (apparently) sometimes get together in summer to barbecue, have a drink, and chat. We also have 1 parking space we can use, and there’s a few spots you can keep your bike if you have one.

You'll share the flat with me, a queer cis man (he/him). I’m vegetarian (and I often eat vegan), and it’d be great, though not necessary, if you were too! I’m from the Netherlands, and moved to London a bit over 2 years ago. I'm an actor, but I currently work from home as a freelance proofreader.

I’d love to find a tidy housemate who’s looking for a home rather than just a place to live. It’d be great to be able to hang out, have a chat, a drink, crack jokes, have dinner together once in a while, etc.
