My name is Jack and my roommate is moving out to Canada for a year, so we’re looking to sublet her room. :)
Flat: The apartment building is incredibly well located. We’re right next to Whitechapel station (our door opens directly in front of the station). You’ll have access to the Elizabeth line, Hammersmith & City, Circle, District, and Overground. It’s a gated building with a big courtyard, which includes a BBQ area and a bicycle rack. The flat is very spacious and has a lot of natural light. It’s not a new build, but it’s definitely well maintained and the landlord is very responsive.
Bills/Specs: We have a yearly lease which renews in September 2026. We will definitely renew, so there’s a possibility to stay from April 2026 to April 2027. Bills – electricity, council tax, and WiFi – are not included and come to £130–£150 per month.
About me: My name is Jack, I’m 32 and I’m from Montreal, Canada (FR/EN/SP). I’ve been in London for 4 years now. I came to do my master’s, but I now work in finance in the City. I’m gay, so obviously whoever lives here will need to be cool with that! I do work a lot (WFH Mon/Fri), but I’m also very sociable and love hanging out with friends. This isn’t a party flat, but you’re more than welcome to have friends over. I love reading, staying fit, board games, sports, travelling, and catching up with friends. I also coach in the London semi-pro American football league, so I’m often away on weekends. If you’re an expat, it’s totally fine for you to have visiting friends from home stay for a reasonable amount of time.
