Double Bedroom on Waterloo Sea Front

Hello!

My husband and I are renting out a double bedroom in our beautiful Georgian house, which looks out over the River Mersey and the Welsh mountains.

The Room:
The room is on the top floor of our house with views over the river and looking out to the wind farms in the distance and beautiful sunsets on clear evenings. We can let the room either furnished or unfurnished (or part-furnished!) There are three other rooms on the same floor but two are just used for storage and one is a shower room that you would have sole use of, so you would essentially have the top floor to yourself!

The House:
The house has a large, bright dine-in kitchen, front and rear gardens, and utility room. You would have your own bathroom and shared use of the kitchen/dining area, with storage space in the kitchen and use of the utility area. The rest of the house is our family space and not included in the rent.

Us:
My husband and I are in our early 30s and have recently moved to Liverpool from London, where I am from and where we have lived for the last 10 years. I am a primary school teacher and my husband is an engineer. We are friendly and chatty but we work hard and really value our family time. We enjoy seeing our friends and family, watching a good series on TV and occasionally going on wonderful trips. We have 2 cats who are both very friendly although one more so than the other. Once they get to know you they will seek you out for cuddles. They come and go as they please but can usually be found hovering near their food bowls. We have really enjoyed living with lodgers previously, sharing meals, celebrating birthdays together and remaining friends once they have moved out.

The neighbourhood:
The house is on a beautiful street, which is used as a filming location for TV and films. There are public gardens directly in front of the street and beyond that is Crosby/Waterloo beach, where Anthony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ stands along the sand. We have a few lovely little cafes within a 2-3 minute walk from our front door and a few minutes further is the marina. Waterloo station is a 10 minute walk and a 20 minute train ride will get you to Liverpool Central station.

You:
We are looking for someone who is similar to us and so fits into our home well; calm, friendly, respectful of our home, professional and tidy.

Extras and important information:
Included in the cost is all bills, WiFi and use of some basic products such as dishwasher tablets, toilet paper and salt.
