I have 1 single room available in my 4-bed houseshare in Treforest.
The room is located on the first floor and furnished with a single bed, desk, wardrobe and chest of drawers. It has recently been repainted and has laminate flooring.
The house has a decent size shared kitchen/lounge area. This leads through to the bathroom with toilet and shower-over-bath and a separate toilet. There is a garden with patio and lawn area and a concrete outhouse, with access from a lane which runs behind the houses. The house is a bit 'old-fashioned' in general, but current tenants keep it nice and clean at least.
The street is a mixture of students and residents, and there are usually plenty of parking spaces with no permits required. Its location is about 10-15 minutes walk from Treforest train station / the University. The house is actually also very well located if you are a student on Glyntaff campus as this is about a 10 minute walk away (I can show you a shortcut!) There are also shops and takeaways nearby.
Internet and water charges are included in the rental amount. Gas & electricity bills are organised by myself due to the come-and-go nature of a house-share, and I keep these as a separate charge as there is potential for the amount to change depending on usage. Tenants currently pay about £60 on top of rent to cover all other bills (gas, electricity and council tax).
There are currently 2 males and 1 female residing in the property. One is from Carmarthen via Hong Kong and works as a personal trainer. His partner rents one of the other rooms upstairs, she works in a coffee shop in Cardiff and is originally from Greece. The other is originally from Germany, and you probably won't see very much of him as he works A LOT. He owns 2 Labrador dogs (both very well trained and friendly), but again, you may not see much of them as they go to work with him. Unfortunately I can't accept any further pets in the property.
The house would probably best suit another professional or a postgraduate student who wants somewhere quiet and reasonably priced to study. 0
This is a private let so there are no Agency fees. All I ask from any prospective tenant is a reference from your most recent landlord, proof of employment or that you are a current student and the first months rent + deposit to be paid on commencement of the tenancy. The house is HMO certified - the landlords (my parents) are registered with Rent Smart Wales and I am registered as Agent for the property.
Please note that I don't accept cash rent payments. Tenants must be willing to pay rent/bills by bank transfer, preferably by setting up a standing order.
