Life is full of inconveniences, so when it comes to finding a place to call home you'd hope at least that would be hassle free!! I hope this goes some way to helping you with your search.

Over here, we have tranquil rooms to relax in with large windows that let in natural light and the house itself is light, airy, and very comfortable. So you can kick off your heels, set your heavy handbag down, sink your feet into a lovely thick carpet, and then relax on a big, comfy sofa in a warm and welcoming home, and you even get friendly housemates!

The house is recently refurbished and boasts a fabulous bathroom, with a rainfall shower which should go some way in helping you feel human again after a commute in and out of the City!! (Don't worry I share your pain!). Lol

There's a clean kitchen with all mod cons where you can cook a decent meal or share one too if you like...

The heating is used adequately to warm the house when it's cold and air conditioning; for warmer times. Hot water is available 24 hours, and there’s excellent broadband internet access as well.

There is a lovely south facing, sunny garden to enjoy, including a modern patio set with recliner chairs, hammock and barbeque. There’s also a nice and bright conservatory and a lovely lounge to relax in and share your woes, worries, laughers and chuckles.

The cost:
A bargain for an all inclusive deal as follows on a 6 months rolling contract: (Option 1)
- 465 pounds per calendar month for the single room
- 650 pounds per calendar month for the double room

If you’d prefer a short term let (3 month minimum) then this can be arranged for: (Option 2)
- 485 pounds per calendar month for the single room
- 670 pounds per calendar month for the double room.

A bit about us:
We are an aunt and nephew team. I have been taking in lodgers for the past 15 years and really enjoy meeting people. I've had some fantastic people live here from Canada, Australia, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Lithuania, Spain, and also locally, Scotland, Ireland, north of England... and cant wait to meet the next person.

Recently my nephew joined me in London. We are both working professionals in the education and transport industries and we work Monday to Friday during core hours.

What we're looking for in a housemate:
It doesn't matter if you're an introvert or an extrovert. We appreciate that it takes time to get to know people and your surroundings.

Preferably seeking a sociable character that is mature enough to appreciate and respect others around her.

If that sounds like you, then you've already got a foot through the door.

The house:
This is a three bedroom house, its spacious, clean and tidy, and at any time there will only ever be a maximum of 3 people living here (incl. you).

We live in an affluent and friendly neighbourhood, comprising of several semi-detached and detached properties and there’s a good mix of people and we get on really well with our neighbours.

The location:
The house is in Queensbury on a well-located street in a nice leafy part of London - bonus, with excellent amenities including an array of pubs, restaurants, beauty salons, local newsagents, off licence, post office, churches, gyms and taxi ranks.

There are two major supermarket stores close by, Morrisons; ten minute walk and Asda; 20 minutes in the other direction. There's also a late night Tesco Express at the top of the road; five minutes walk, perfect when you just need to nip out for something that you might have forgotten!

Travel links:
There are excellent links by bus, tube and trains into the City as well as the outskirts of London including Hatfield, Elstree, Borehamwood, Barnet, Welwyn Garden City, Watford, St. Albans, Luton, Dunstable and Bedford. There are also accessible links to the main airports around London; Heathrow, Stanstead, City, Gatwick, and Luton.

The location boasts excellent road links to the M1, M25, A1(M), A5, A41, A40 and A406. (All within easy reach of 5-15 minutes drive).

Queensbury is located on the cusp of the all of these corridors, which makes this location ideal for those long haul commuters amongst us. And there's ample free street parking available too (Please note Queensbury is within the M25 & A406; which is an Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and from October you will be charged for diesel vehicles).

For the City-goers who enjoy socialising after work, on Fridays and at the weekend the night tube was first introduced on the Jubilee line in Autumn 2016. So you'll be able to enjoy the City for longer without a midnight curfew!

As well as some good gyms in the vicinity, there are also several open spaces/parks for those running enthusiast out there.

I hope this description gives you a broader idea for your search and I hope it ticks many boxes.
