This ad offers a spacious ground floor double bedroom and a first floor single bedroom in a semi-detached 4-bedroom house.

Two of our housemates are moving out in late September/early October. The two of us left are on an existing Tenancy Agreement that is being renewed on 2nd October. We are both working professional males aged (almost) 25 and 35. One of us is English, the other Spanish (also speaks English).

*** Double Room***

Is unfurnished but tenant who is moving out is open to selling some of her furniture such as double bed, drawers and wardrobe.
Situated on ground floor at front of the house.

*** Single Room ***

£490 pcm
Furnished with a single bed, wardrobe and bedside table/stand.
Situated on first floor at front of the house.

*** Other Household Amenities ***

The house also has a shared living room with a dining table, chairs, sofa and shelf space. There are patio doors leading to the garden.

The shared kitchen houses a gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave, plus plenty of cupboard space.

Under the stairs is some small storage space where we keep the hoover, ironing board etc. Along the hallway we have a coat rack and space for shoes.

The bathroom on the first floor has a sink, bathroom cabinet and bath with electric powered shower. There is a WC in a separate room adjacent to the bathroom.

We have a loft/attic with space for things to be stored.

There is a decent sized grass garden at the back of the house with a paved patio area directly outside the property. We have a large tree which has a climbing rope on it. In the back garden is a shed which can be used to store bikes if needed. Access from the kitchen, living room or a side gate.

There is space on the driveway for two cars. One spot is already taken by a current tenant but the other will be available and regardless there is plenty of free street parking either along Waldegrave Road or Waldegrave Park Road.

Neighbours are quiet and we’ve never had any issues with anyone along the road. St Mary’s University, Twickenham is a couple of hundred metres down the road but we’ve never had issues with students from there.

*** Bills ***

The prices given include the bills such as gas, water, electric, internet, TV licence and council tax. This also includes £6 per month for things such as soap, loo roll, kitchen roll etc. The prices given are an accurate average of the monthly cost as some bills are charged quarterly.

There is a one-off admin fee of £105 and a deposit required of £580 for the double room and £480 for the single.

*** Places Around ***

If required there is a laundromat across the road, car/mechanic garage, fish & chip shop, off-licence and Italian restaurant all within 30 seconds walk.

Broad Street, Teddington and the High Street is either a 3 minute bus ride or less than 10 minute walk away. There is a Tesco Metro, M&S, Boots and other high street shops, banks as well as restaurants and pubs..

King Street in Twickenham is less than 10 minutes on the bus and has more shops, pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. If you don’t want to travel for a drink then we have a pub almost directly across the road. There is also a large Tesco store about 10 minutes by bus/car.

Kingston has a large array of shops including a large shopping centre and is about 10-20 minutes by bus or train.

There is also a gym on Broad Street or the University gym along Waldegrave Road, plus sports fields and a library all less than 5 minutes walk away.

*** Public Transport ***

The number 33 bus stops just metres away from the house and goes to Fulwell one way passing through Teddington, and to Castelnau the other, passing through Twickenham, Richmond East Sheen and Barnes.

Buses 281/285 go from a stop about 5-6 minutes walk away and go to Kingston one way, and Hanworth, Feltham and Heathrow the other.

The 33 bus to Richmond takes 10-15 minutes. Richmond Station then has multiple other bus routes outside, overground lines to central London and around, plus the underground district line.

Teddington and Strawberry Hill National Rail stations are also about 8-10 minutes walk from the house and have lines to Kingston for decent shopping and further into central London.

*** Looking For ***

We are looking for two new tenants (male or female but not couples), working professionals who are friendly and easy-going. Neither of us have Mon-Fri 9-5 jobs and are happy to welcome those with regular hours or shift workers.

The house is managed by an agency on behalf of a live-out-landlord. They will conduct reference checks on previous housing and employment.
