*** The room ***
Bright, light and good-sized. The room comes with a double bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, built-in cupboard (hanging and shelf space), storage unit and shelving. There is further storage space underneath the bed. The room has a folding desk and chair. The room also has a blackout blind and curtains.
*** The flat ***
My home is a quiet first floor flat. It has gas-central heating and double glazing. I have recently redecorated it throughout so it is fresh and clean. Bathroom recently refurbished - walk in shower.
The living room has a dining area for four people and a corner sofa. I have a smart TV and fibre broadband.
Kitchen has just been refurbished.
Outside there is a lawn area with communal washing lines which I share with my downstairs neighbours. There is unrestricted street parking in my street (which is a cul-de-sac) and the surrounding roads.
*** The area ***
Corstorphine village is a short walk away and has lots of local amenities (Post Office, banks, library, Sainsbury's, other shops, restaurants, pubs, coffee-shops and so on). A large Tesco Extra is within walking distance and Asda, Aldi and Sainsbury’s are a short drive/bus journey away. I'm not a student myself but I'm told my flat is well situated for a number of Edinburgh's universities - you'll have to work out the logistics using Google Maps.
The flat is within walking distance (5 ― 10 mins) to tram and bus-links.
It's a good location for anyone working at the airport, South Gyle, Gogarburn and so on. Links into the city are good (trams run up to every 7 mins). I regularly commute in both directions, both by car and bus/tram.
*** Me ***
You’ll be sharing the flat with me. I work for a bank, full-time. I enjoy exercising, cooking and exploring new places ― of which Scotland has a lot to offer. I’m neat, quiet and clean and am looking for someone friendly who will take care of the home I’ve created in Edinburgh.
*** Other details ***
Room available from 9th Sept. Rent is £550per month. Gas and electricity bills will be shared equally amongst the two of us and are payable on a monthly basis.
Minimum term 2 months, then see how we go.
