Large room available for eco friendly female!

Large room to rent in west Edinburgh for female , sharing with female owner occupier aged 59. Would prefer long term let, though short-term considered. Maturity (e. g. ability to wash up and put the rubbish out!), more important than age.

If possible I would like to share with someone who has an interest in the environment and therefore is keen on recycling, reducing energy use, and a low impact life-style, as these are important to me. I'm currently trying to reduce my waste due to worldwide plastic pollution, and always buy eco-friendly detergents etc.

I don't cook meat in the flat (very occasionally fish), so I would prefer similar either vegetarian or mostly so.
The room is in a quiet street but very close to shops and lots of bus routes, and handy for cycling routes such as the canal and water of Leith paths (there is cycle storage in the flat). It's currently minimally furnished so we can be flexible and I will obtain more if necessary (e. g. a desk). It's a bright flat with nice outlooks and a big garden.

There is a spare room and the room is big enough that you can have occasional guests, and my partner (male), stays over at mine some nights but he is very friendly and accommodating, and you would always have priority over him for the shower or bath!

I work in part-time in health care for the NHS. I enjoy gardening (currently trying to landscape my garden here and have an allotment), cycling, walking, and ski touring.

The rent does not include bills. Council tax for a working person is £64 per month, gas and electric around £20 a month each, Broadband / landline about £10 each, so total rent plus bills is around £400. I'm afraid a student would also have to contribute £32 per month for Council Tax as otherwise I would have to pay the extra. If you want to watch live TV you will also have to pay for a TV licence as I don't have one.

However, as this is my property, I would expect you to treat it as you would if it was your own.
