Double room in large modern flat next to Meadows

I am friendly New Yorker entering my 5th year of Chemistry at Edinburgh Uni and am looking to replace my flatmate John who moved to Glasgow. John is the landlord and has trusted me to find a suitable replacement.

I am 22 and am generally very chill. Like most people, I'm into food and music, and play some guitar. I generally keep to myself at home, but I'm down to have a drink or have friends over occasionally.

The flat is in a great location, just a short walk from the Meadows and main campus. Or if you go to Kings like me, it is right next to the 41-bus stop. The flat itself is on the top floor (3rd). It is modern and well maintained, with great views of a central courtyard, and access to a shared back garden. Spacious living room with TV and couches. Also, a huge eat in kitchen with a washing machine, gas cooker and lots of pantry space.

The room in question is small, but has storage closets in the hall right outside the door. It is fully furnished with a double bed, desk and dresser. Separately, the large living room and kitchen can be great study spaces.

The rent is £500 a month not including bills, which are generally manageable due to modern, efficient heating system.

I am looking for a fellow student to stay for the academic year of Sept 5 - June 1. A student is strongly preferred for council tax reasons. I want someone responsible who will respect flat and help me keep it clean and tidy. I'd also prefer someone easy going with a good sense of humor. Also, no Trump supporters.
