The flat consists of three bedrooms, a living room, spacious dining kitchen, spare room/study, balcony, bathroom and separate WC. Room is available from the end of February, but can discuss the possibility of earlier if needed. The rent is 450pcm and this includes all bills including council tax, so any students would have to be okay with this contribution.
We are looking for a flatmate to take one of the double bedrooms. The room is fully furnished & I’m more than happy for someone to put their own stamp on it. There is also a spare room with desk and guest bed which can be used as an office for someone working from home.
The flat has fast wifi, plus netflix/amazon/disney+ in the living room, there’s a tub & waterfall shower in the bathroom, & a ridiculous amount of kitchen gadgets.
The flat is located on Gorgie Road, with an Aldi and Sainsbury’s less than a minute walk, plus a big Asda, Home Bargains, M&S Food etc. 10 minutes walk away. The flat is also near Saughton park and the Water of Leith walkway.
There is a bus stop directly outside serviced by the 3, 25 and 33. Haymarket is around a 20 minute walk away, and the city centre around a half an hour walk or 15/20 minutes on the bus. There is good transport links for both Heriot Watt and Edinburgh Uni & there is free on street parking around the flat.
The whole flat has been recently refurbished, and the current occupants are myself and Charlotte.
Charlotte is a 28 year old postgraduate studying Translation at Heriot-Watt University & works part time in a bar. In her spare time, she enjoys going for long walks, reading, writing and going to gigs. A self confessed geek, she is also fan of all things sci-fi and fantasy, and is also partial to the occasional horror.
I’m Anna, 30, and working as a bar manager after finishing my masters in Social Policy. In my spare time I like to travel, go to gigs and go out for dinner/drinks. In non-covid times I’m fairly social and like to have friends round occasionally, so would not mind if a flatmate was the same.
My current flatmates and I do enjoy spending time together so it’s probably not suitable for someone who likes to spend most of their time in their room. As me and Charlotte both work in hospitality, we can keep some pretty odd hours so probably not suitable for someone who needs complete quiet.
We’re looking for a flatmate of a similar age who is chilled out and social but also respectful of others space & and will keep communal areas clean and tidy.
Smoking is allowed on the balcony, and i’m happy to discuss the possibility of well behaved pets. Preference is given to long-term tenants, and we’ve no preference about gender of potential flatmates.
Please note couples are not permitted and I will not respond to “is this available” messages, we’d really like to get to know a potential flatmate first so please respond with a bit about yourself if interested :)
Thanks!!
Anna & Charlotte
