I have a double bedroom available in my 2-bedroom flat from mid-March until the end of September 2026 (somewhat flexible).

Council tax band C: £80
Gas+electricity: £40-50
Fast full fibre broadband: £12
Total: around £680

About the flat:
Fully furnished, shared living room, kitchen and bathroom, private front garden, shared back garden.

Location (Slateford):
A quiet neighbourhood between Gorgie Road and Slateford Road, so you get lots of bus options covering the whole city within a few minutes walk. It takes around 10-15min to get to Haymarket. Harrison Park and Saughton Park are within walking distance.

Transport:
Buses: 3, 4, 25, 30, 33, 34, 35, 38, 44 + night buses
Tram stop: about 10 minutes away

Shops:
Many supermarkets and corner stores are within a few minutes walk. There are also cafés and pubs in the area.

About me:
I’m a 29-year-old PhD student at the University of Edinburgh (also employed by the uni, so not council tax exempt). I'm easy-going and would like to keep a friendly atmosphere at home, happy to chat and hang out, but also respect each other's space. I’m vegetarian but don’t mind meat in the flat as long as you use your own chopping board. In my free time I go to dance classes, go bouldering, meet friends, or just chill on the couch :)

About you:
I'm looking for a professional or a student who can contribute to council tax. I look after the flat and I’m looking for someone clean and considerate who’s happy to share basic chores to keep the place nice together.
