Room for rent in Leith flat

Hello,

I’m a primary teacher on a career break, who’s an aspiring writer and is funding his writing habit by working in Pensions. I like watching films and boxsets, enjoy watching sports - mainly rugby and football - like reading, cycling, climbing, camping, hill walking, cooking and eating good food and drinking good booze, talking about how amazing and great a role model for young modern progressive minded Scots Boris Johnson is, and also talking a load of nonsense.

The room is a bright double room with king size bed. There is a wardrobe and a bedside table. If you need any other furniture, let me know. The room gets the sunrise in the mornings and looks east over a small park and you're protected from the nosy stares of neighbours by the trees.

The flat is bright and feels spacious in the summer but is also cosy and warm in the winter. It's on the top floor, but it's only three flights.. So no need to worry about carrying the baby grand up 6 floors. The neighbours are all friendly and helpful. There is a shared back garden with plenty space for drying if the suns out, if not the living room is a good substitute. There's a barbecue pit, build by yours truly, and a herb garden if you like fresh herbs - season dependent.

I keep the flat clean and tidy, but don’t mind the occasional mess. Cleaning would be shared - there’s not a rota…we’re all adults, I’m sure we can share the responsibility sensibly.

All bills are included - gas, electric, council tax and tv/internet/phone. The flat has wifi (Virgin broadband) and tv. There is a landline phone too.

The flat is my home, so I'm looking for someone who is respectful of that but I’m not too precious about things. Ideally looking for a working professional who is happy to hang out, cook, watch TV, movies and a drink but is also happy enjoying their own space. Would like someone that I can hang out with so the flat feels like a home.

There will, occasionally, be visits from a small dog - a Pomeranian/Alsation mix. She’s quiet, friendly and loves belly rubs and any attention in general. She belongs to my girlfriend, who shares many of the same qualities. She’s also very forgiving - my girlfriend.
