Bedroom for rent

Hiya! We are looking to rent a single bedroom in a 3-bedroom, 2-bath flat with an expected start date of 15th/16th April 2024. The rate is £500 per month till Aug 15, and then £600 per month, and a one-month deposit (£500). (The rent will be adjusted accordingly in case of a short term let) The bright, south-facing flat comes with a spacious living room and a large kitchen and dining area. It is centrally located at Buccleuch Street (Newington, EH8), less than 5 minutes away from the Meadows, UoE Main Library/George Square campus, and the starting point for the shuttle service to Kings Buildings. Honestly, we love how accessible every part of the city is from this address--everything you need is walking distance! We prefer students for council tax reasons but would consider working professionals if they agree to pay the council tax (Band D) by themselves. The flat is a non-smoking flat. Pets are unfortunately not allowed--though we do love cats and dogs.😊

The first flatmate is me, Arush, from India.
I'm in my fourth year of PhD (in Chemistry, so going to Kings Buildings during the week). When not grappling with chemicals, I like a relaxed night in with people, enjoying dinner or spending time out (hikes and walks, and a quite bar...not a club person, unfortunately). I am also usually the one who'll make sure that the fridge and kitchen don't run out of essentials and will happily try and fix small electrical problems at home.
The second flatmate is Angelo, from the Philipines.
I’m in my fourth year of PhD (Molecular Plant Sciences, based in the King’s Buildings campus). My love for plants extends beyond the lab--I am a plant dad and keep a wee jungle at home so anyone bringing houseplants with them is more than welcome. I love home cooking and learning about international cuisines. On weekends I like exploring the city and the surrounding areas with friends. I am also avid fan of musical theatre so if you’re up to watching a few shows, we’ll get along really well!
