Double Room w/ Garden, Jacuzzi & Parking – Riccall

Spacious double room available in a welcoming family home in the picturesque village of Riccall, just 15 minutes car journey/25 minutes bus journey from York!

Due to our beautiful and tranquil rural location, access to a car would be preferable for the ideal housemate, though we are on a regular bus route priced at £6 return to York per day which runs from 6am-11pm 7 days per week! Block booking tickets can lower this cost significantly and we’d be willing to negotiate rent if this became a problem to afford!

Students - It is possible to connect to the University of York Heslington East campus via the First York U3 bus service meaning it’s a very accessible out of town location, though you’d need to allow 45minutes each way if using the bus to access University and be able to budget for this travel and be ok with the spent on public transport each day.

The room is fully furnished with double bed and storage, with access to the master bathroom, which features a modern walk-in wet room. You’ll also have use of the garden (including 6-person jacuzzi!) and gated driveway parking. Bills inc. council tax and fibre to the home super fast Wi-Fi are all included!

We are a married couple with a 12-year-old son who stays with us 3–4 days per week (at school during the daytime) and a friendly 3-year-old black Labrador.

We’re looking for a considerate, tidy, working professional / University of York student who value a relaxed, homely environment.

Overall, a wonderful, sought after village location with two nearby pubs, local village shop, amazing walks in nature, a private cycle path taking you straight to York, and takeaways nearby by convenience, plus York Racecourse and McArthur Glen designer outlet are only a short drive/bus trip away!

For commuters, the property provides easy access to the nearby M18/M62/A1M motorways for easy work commutes to the south and west.

Perfect for professionals/students seeking a comfortable, well-connected base near York, with the bonus of a peaceful village setting.
